Yesilirmak Aparts — Hotel in Fatih

The building is at the bottom of a steep hill, but Istanbul is a hilly city after all. It's on a buzzing and crazy busy street during the week, calmer on weekends, but the apartment has good soundproofing windows so the noise is not a problem. The building doesn't have an elevator, but that wasn't a big issue for us, even if we were at the 4th floor. This being said, the apartment (a triple room and a bathroom) was spacious enough for us, spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The tram station is uphill only 400m away, the street has a bakery nearby, there are plenty of restaurants and a couple of mini markets, it's only a short walk from the main sites (Blue mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi palace, Grand bazaar). It was a very good experience. The owner is very kind and willing to help. You can ask him about anything, he told us about an exchange office, a Bosforus cruise. He also helped a lot with the parking place, he doesn't let you pay 15-20-30 euros for parking places arround, he pointed us to another place. The rooms are very clean, with A/C unit, very clean sheets and really comfortable bed. In the bathroom there is soap, clean towels, hot water. On the 5th floor there is a terrace with realy nice view to the Marmara Sea. The location is perfect - 10-15 minute from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazar and other mosques. My experience at this hotel was absolutely amazing, especially thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. They arranged my airport transport, and despite my late arrival, one of the brothers waited for me until 1 a.m. to personally let me into my room. I’m so grateful for their care in ensuring I arrived safely.
