We stayed at this lovely hotel with 3 people for just 1 night and we absolutely loved everything!
Before our stay at Carruba hotel we have stayed at Mandalina suites for 3 nights for the same price, but I can tell you that Carruba hotel definitely beats the other hotel on all aspects, like cleanliness/hygiene, hospitality, food and atmosphere. 10/10 for the team working at Carruba hotel. We will definitely come back here if we happen to be in Kas again.
Here is what I really liked: -The communication before we arrived was already very good. Tuba got in touch with me to ask our estimated time of arrival (and checked-in whether we had other questions), so she could manage everything properly. We arrived a bit early that day, but we could check-in right away, they did not make us wait. The pictures you see on booking.com is exactly what you get, I really liked that. -There are enough parking spots in front of the hotel (on the street. The hotel doesn’t have their own parking spots, but as there are more than enough spots on the street that was fine). -The moment we entered the hotel Irem welcomed us with a smile and gave us all the necessary information. She even sent a list of recommended places to go to (from restaurants to beaches). She really took the time to chat with us. We had a really nice chat with her, her mom and dad. They run the hotel together, but you can’t tell the difference between them and the other staff. Very hard working and kind people, kudos to them all! When entering the hotel it feels very fresh and it makes you feel welcome. I forgot to take pictures, but the interior design was very nice. Minimalistic with some hanging plants and cute and clean benches. -Our room was very clean (from beds to the bathroom/shower) and spacious. The air conditioning was working well and we had a nice balcony. -The breakfast was amazing. It’s self-service (as you usually get in hotels) with a big variety. -The swimming pool was not crowded and clean. I liked that the water stayed cold. The sun-beds were clean -They have the cutest little ‘mascot’ Chico, their little dog that adds to the positive atmosphere at the hotel :)! -The location is very central. We parked the car in front of the hotel and just walked into the city center (which was a 5-10 minutes walk).
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here and wish we would’ve booked at Carruba for the first nights also. A big thank you to Irem, Fatma (the lovely mom), dad (who was also very very friendly all the time), Tuba and the...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights in a luxury "Bohemian Room” and, unfortunately, our experience fell far short of what we were led to expect. While the hotel appears well-maintained and tastefully designed on the surface, several serious issues made our stay disappointing — especially given the high price point and the way the rooms are marketed. Completely inadequate bathroom setup: One of the most frustrating aspects was the complete lack of privacy in the bathroom. The toilet is fully visible from the bed, separated only by a decorative partial wall. There is no door, no sound insulation, no visual separation — nothing. This kind of layout is absolutely not appropriate for a so-called "luxury" room with such price. It made the stay feel uncomfortable and intrusive. Misleading and borderline deceptive room description: We booked a “sea and pool view” room based on the impressive photos and description on the hotel’s website. In reality, our room — located on the first floor — had a view of the back of another building, with a sliver of the sea barely visible. When we asked why this was considered a “sea view”, the response was essentially, “only upper-floor rooms have the real view", but they sell them all under the same label. This is not just disappointing — it’s misleading advertising, plain and simple. It left us feeling taken advantage of. Extremely disruptive noise from nearby mosque: The hotel is located right next to a mosque, and the 5 a.m. call to prayer is not just audible — it is unavoidably loud, even with windows shut. While we respect the cultural context, this is a crucial detail that guests should be clearly informed about prior to booking. It had a real impact on our rest and overall experience, and we felt blindsided.
To be clear: we were looking forward to a relaxing and high-end stay, and instead found ourselves dealing with a lack of basic comfort and a sense that key details had been hidden or misrepresented. The hotel may have charm, but charm is not enough when transparency, functionality, and guest comfort are...
Read moreCannot speak highly enough of this amazing stay, from the staff to the hotel and inclusions- everything was perfect. Family owned and operated, the staff were incredible, we have never had this type of hospitality anywhere else before! It is another level. They organise delicious homemade breakfast, which literally includes everything you can think of, their jams are not to miss! Mr Tarik was fantastic, so friendly, he helped us organise our boat trips and gave us lots of recommendations for dinner. The staff at the hotel are so friendly, they will do absolutely anything you ask for or need assistance with. The hotel is beautifully gardened with lots of flowers and plants, it has modern, boho vibe and decor, everywhere is sparkling clean. Our room was very spacious and clean, also had a large balcony with amazing views of Kas, water and mountains, views were especially beautiful at sunset time. Mini bar was on the house. We loved the design of the room which incorporated a large area to put our luggages, which many other hotels lack. The hotel location is perfect, a quick walk to the Kas Centre, yet still tucked away giving you privacy and quiet. Hotel also includes free carpark. Cannot thank Carruba staff enough for making our stay absolutely perfect, it was the best, we will definitely only stay here when...
