İlayda Avantgarde — Hotel in Kuşadası

Stayed for 3 nights and found it on Expedia last minute. Celebrated 25th wedding anniversary. Great customer service and free parking along with one of the best free breakfast. If you account for free amenities and compare it with Europe the place was a bargain. On weekends breakfast is available until 1130 am allowing you to have late breakfast. |Pros: outstanding location, close to all the fun and life with most beautiful ocean views. Walkable to all interesting places and drivable to others. |Room Pros: we booked deluxe room with ocean view so it was pricey compared to other rooms but they do have a slightly cheaper ocean view room. Our 4th floor room had floor to ceiling windows on two sides and you can open one of the windows to make it a balcony and get some fresh air. I could just sit and watch the sea or lie in bed and look out the beautiful view. Bathroom was of very good size and shower was giant. Comes with free minibar refrigerator (two cokes, a cookie and two bottles of water along with bathroom amenities and slippers. You can hear music and life from your room with the balcony door open. |Room con: shower only have rain shower so for ladies you must cover your hair well if only need to bath. The bathroom had an unpleasant drain odor so we kept it closed. |Cons: hard to find using google map and we asked hotel via Expedia app to send directions but no response. I wish we had that and we would have save an hour trying to make a u turn to find the parking lot which is hidden in plain sight. Hot room so we turned off heat and kept the window open for a little bit as it is very noisy at all hours so you can’t sleep with...

OK, so be careful when considering booking this hotel. The hotel itself is lovely. Location great. Very clean. However this is a minimalist hotel. So to start a standard Turkish breakfast gives a large selection of tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, olives, spice paste, jams, butter, kymack, eggs, bread and tea as a standard.... U are just served the entire thing. In this hotel you are asked to choose from the above. A little mean I think. Secondly. When I arrived all the toiletries were. on offer in the bathroom. I used the shower cap and face cloth on day 1, the dental kit on day 2. I was there for 3 days and when I checked out none of the toiletries had been replaced..... So use wisely🙄 Thirdly, there is no food served in this hotel after breakfast and this is not made clear on their website. I was there during lockdown so this was a real problem. The minibar fridge was not cold, even at its lowest setting. I had booked for 2 people but was offered 1 cup and 1 stirrer, 2 tea bags/day. While I know these are all small issues they are very annoying and if you are willing to keep ringing for extra service this might be OK for you but I not for me. I booked a suite. The room was lovely. The main window looking over the harbour offered beautiful views but the window didn't open. The window in the bedroom did but the noise coming through early morning was enough to wake the dead!! So natural ventilation was an issue. There are 2 lifts both slow....
