Marvista Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuşadası

During my twelve-day stay in Kuşadası, I had lunch or dinner at Marvista every single day. The portions are generous, the prices are on the lower side compared to other restaurants of the same level, the service is quick, and the food is absolutely delicious. I’ve tried almost the entire menu – their pastas and chicken dishes are unbeatable!

I especially have to highlight the service. I have never experienced such excellent service, not even in my own country. Our waiter, Vedat, is the kindest and most attentive person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He’s genuinely friendly, remembers any allergies from the very first order, and is polite, communicative, and hard-working. Vedat never charged us extra for special requests about the food.

Another waiter, Sezer, is also polite and welcoming, but Vedat is truly the warmest and most wonderful person you’ll meet in Kuşadası. None of the staff run after tips – they’re always friendly regardless – but please do tip them because they deserve far more than that!

We had a bad experience. This might be because it was a busy evening, but they didn’t live up to their service credentials. We had to ask two or three times for a drink. We then waited 20 mins while all around tables were being cleaned and others were being served. When I finally got a waiter’s attention, he was rude and we had a bad exchange at which point he took the menus. We paid and left. The menu was catering for very average tastes. There were few Turkish/traditional dishes, so was struggling to pick out something interesting. On a quieter night I’m sure this is fine but there surely must be better food options/restaurant...

Customer service was shocking, we explained that we are vegetarian and went through the menu, we asked for a mushroom burger which does not not show any meat included, just said sauteed mushrooms with lettuce and cheese, comes out with a beef patty, we said we didn't want that and they asked us if we would like to have it as takeaway! General service was very poor, they had loads of juices on the menu but they couldn't offer it to us! Not impressed, would not recommend or...
