For the last 3 months I lived in 4 hotels in Antalya, and this was the best in all the aspects. I stayed here for 2 months and I am really lucky to find it.
The rooms look good (I changed mine due to booking twice, so I know what I am saying), as well as a nice sea view from the balcony. Also my room was the cheapest category but still big (which is quite uncommon in Antalya hotels). There is no feeling of being closed in a box — you just have enough space to feel yourself like at home.
I stayed here and needed to work, so the table, chair, wifi — everything was suitable for working full day. A big mirror in a room is also a big advantage 💃 With regards to air conditioning — it worked well, no complaints.
Special thanks to cleaning services — it was done every single day and done perfectly. I personally hate to ask for a cleaning every single time on the reception (some hotels have such a stupid rule), but here the cleaning is just done without any need to beg for it. Also after cleaning you receive a bottled water, so it is also an advantage 🙏
Morning breakfasts have large options to choose from and were delicious. Every room has a quite new fridge and a kettle (pot), so you could buy some food in a shop, make some tea or coffee for yourself or order the delivery right to your door.
The staff was absolute nice, friendly and helpful, ready to help any time with any kind of requests
And last but not the least — the location is also good, easy to walk to to Kaleiçi (old town) or to the sea (check out the best sea view in just 1 minute walk from the hotel). There are plenty of parks nearby, shops and supermarkets, as well as small cafes. And a bus stop just in 15 metres from the hotel 🙌
I do not get why there are not so much reviews, but Mene hotel and its staff worth the best...
Read moreWe were here for the final part of my dental treatment. It would appear most if not all of the other guests were in a similar position, but they had been booked by their dental company. We chose the hotel ourselves based upon the reviews and were not disappointed. This was the second time we had booked a small hotel in a deliberate change from the five star (Turkish 5* is more equivalent to a high 3* or 4* UK) all inclusive that we'd had on two earlier visits. We got tired of the same food, the food waste (not the hotels fault) and the noise. The change to a smaller, quieter hotel was definitely a good decision. We took the advice of the desk staff and chose local restaurants to eat at. Not once did we have a bad meal.|Mene City Hotel looks good and belies it's 2* rating due to the staff. All, without exception are friendly and welcoming.|The free breakfast available every day was good, especially if you wanted to sample Turkish cooking. For those not so adventurous, there was different types of bread and pastries as well as honey and several types of jam, plus fresh fruit. Tea and coffee in abundance. |There was a bar available with a great selection of beers.|The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The tv was Turkish. I took our Amazon Firestick, but on this occasion couldn't get it to work.|There was a pool, but it was a bit too chilly despite the sun to venture in. The public areas including the toilets were very clean. |We don't have a negative view...
Read moreThe hotel is extremely unkempt. The bathroom ceiling shows severe mold infestation, resulting in an unpleasant, musty odor. It smelled like a moldy basement. Upon our arrival, the toilet had not been cleaned, so I had to request cleaning service from the reception. There were still stains on the toilet, such as fecal stains or similar. Additionally, there were urine stains on the edge of the bathtub, which was extremely unpleasant. Both the bathtub and the floor seemed to have never been cleaned. A wet towel that fell on the bathroom floor immediately became discolored.
The staff member with blonde hair was unfriendly and unhelpful.
Furthermore, the room was affected by an ant infestation. When I reported this to the reception, a cleaning staff member arrived after 2 hours with an insect spray and sprayed the skirting boards. Unfortunately, this had no effect as the poison did not reach the ant nests. Therefore, I had to buy and set up ant baits myself, which solved the problem after 2 to 3 days.
Although we had booked a triple room with a sea view, no such room was available. However, we were only offered a twin room without a refund of the price difference for the costs. Although we were two people, the hotel demanded that we share one blanket meant for two. After persistent requests, they "exceptionally" provided us with a second blanket so that my wife and I each had one...
