this hotel is located infront of a cemetery and lots of wracked buildings (pictures are taken from balcony on second floor(smoking space for all guests) and from the taxi while leaving. we stayed 3 nights , didn't get a peaceful sleep . dogs barking٫ roosters screaming (as if it was located in a village) and musics from neighbors(thought it was a wedding ceremony but lasted 2 night didn't get to find out where it came from because our room didn't have windows) . it was a 10 minute walk away from town . even though we enjoyed the beautiful city we did not enjoy our room . it's funny how it had a queen size bed but no window. price is okay but still can't justify the lack of comfort. most of staff were kind and polite (except a lady who i wouldn't mind calling out if i knew her name)
EDIT(as a response to the owner): we are 2 young women that learned from hard way to check the location CLOSLEY (who would have thought one would make a hotel in such place/also cemetery and.. are not mentioned on iphone map) also... we appreciate all the good workers who sincerely helped us . we absolutely felt welcomed (from receptionists to cleaning ladies) we are not really mature in traveling and we needed a lot of guidance BUT WE KNOW WHEN SOME ONE DISRESPECTS US . we booked 2 nights but our next trip got canceled for some reasons . we roughly found tickets to home asked front desk if we could stay a little more because our tickets were a few hours later than check out time and they said no which IS COMPLITLY UNDERSTANABLE . we paid for an other night got tickets for the next day (with no more discussion due to our respect to hotel rules) . problem is that there are ways to say the same thing BUT the way that lady choose to explain the situation to us was NOT the most courteous way. PLUSE we are aware of the room we got A ECONOMIC ROOM. when we arrived and found out what we had was too small that even with open blind didn't make much difference we asked for a room with ACTUAL FUNCTIONAL WINDOWS (that could be opened and ACTUAL SUN LIGHT could come in THROUGH IT+ weather was rainy and lighting was disappointing ) but at the time they told us they are...
Read moreUnfortunately, I give this hotel a bad rating and evaluation. Terrible customer service; uncooperative and not caring about customer satisfaction at all. The hotel manager is rude and unhelpful. The view of the rooms is not good. We found the rooms either looking over a view of trash or graves on the other side. We entered our room and was unhappy with looking over the trash through the windows, and requested changing it within half an hour after arrival. We got a bold no as answer, the room service entered the room suddenly without permission to check it out, and they claimed the sheet is wrinkled from sitting on it. We didn't use the bed and just sat on one side of it. The manager was speaking in a rude nervous tone and almost yelling and is not speaking English. They said we change it against an extra fee, how come and it's our right to enjoy the scene. Terrible experience!!
**P. S. The manager gave her feedback and here are my comments. First, I requested from the receptionist gently and I don't threaten people with comments- I came for vacation to enjoy, my request was fully legitimate. The tone of the manager was yelling for no reason and attacking. Second, the bed sheet you speak about is torn already as in the photo-please care about this too. Third, the room was missing some components and I was checking the other side of the hotel which was looking over graves within that very short time before coming to you (you can ask your room service, which is actually only twenty minutes not more as you claim) . Fourth, my booking is originally one double bed or one single bed and a king bed-you gave me nothing extra. Yes, I will enjoy my vacation after this unpleasant experience. Hope you show more hospitality and treat customers in a welcoming way. Hospitality and scenery is no...
Read moreTLDR: I do not recommend it. Now for the full experience: First of - I choose this hotel because of it's high score here. I was traveling solo and wanted a nice budget hotel. Since day one - the staff were great, but the room is just horrible.. What was wrong with the room: the AC could not be controlled bellow a certain point, so you could not make it cooler, even though outside was 39 degrees. after coming back to the room it would be hotter than outside. each day AC would stop working and to "restart it", the staff would have to come in the room, turn on and off all the fuses to restart the AC system. The walls were so thin that you can hear everything around. Besides other guests, the cleaning staff would keep on smashing their doors when doing rounds to replace towels and etc. The door to the mini-fridge was broken and it was challenging to open/close it. The elevator in the hotel is barely working, you need to keep pushing buttons for it respond. The staff tries to help, but they say they don't have any spare rooms (which is obviously a lie they say in every hotel), especially when here you can see red/green light next to each room to indicate if it is occupied or not. All in all - it is not the peoples fault who are working here, the staff is helpful, but the state of the hotel is sad. It has nice interior, but the rooms pictures online do not reflect the reality. It is worn-out and is missing the basic working amenities (AC), during the heat season of the summer. About the location - it is ~10 min walk to the oldtown, which does not sound like a lot, but if it is the heat season, I would recommend to stay somewhere...
