When we first arrived everything seemed good even if the taxi driver did not know where to take us. We drove around for approximately 2 hours until the driver said that he will just leave us in the street because he cannot drive thus to narrow streets. thank good we demanded him to look for an other taxi, at last when arrived at the hotel, it was difficult to see the desk. We had planned a week of holiday to celebrate finishing radiation therapy. Everything had went okay until my husband showered one morning and slipped, he fell down to the floor, he tried to support his fall but crashed into the left wardrobe door leaving a small crack in the plywood door. My husband went to the check in desk and told what happened. the man at the desk told my husband not to worries, since these doors only look expensive but are cheap fake. this man, working for the hotel (he also checked us in to the hotel upon arrival) said to my husband that the cost is going to be approximately 190 Turkish Lira (6,59 €). My husband wanted to pay immediately, but the man at the desk said to pay at check out. We accepted this without thinking that they would hustle us. Next day, the manager of the hotel comes to us to tell us that we need to sort this broken door matter. my husband and I went to talk with the manager and they would fix the doors and call a repairman. Later the manager came to us again and said that we need to pay for the broken door now and that it cannot wait (we were leaving in 2 days). We went to the reception desk and all of the sudden the price had changed from 190 Turkish lira to 190 Euro!!!!! This means that in turkish lira we paid 5474,24. This was a RIPOFF!! they fixed both doors on that wardrobe and replaced the plywood doors with mirror glass doors. I asked the manager what the h*ll but as a woman I was not in the position to negotiate with him. I was just angry on how manager says that the doors were expensive and old while his employee says that they are not and i can see that it is plywood. Secondly the manager says that they paid the repairman in cash and that it was expensive to get him to the hotel. in reallity: This repair man had been sleeping near the hotel the whole week and I do not believe that they paid him over 5000 liras. They had also "fixed" the small closet for the minibar (see pictures how fixed), this indicates more to my truth, they fixed it cheap and take everything they can get.. I would like to recommend this hotel because of the location and price, but I cannot. The rooms were dirty (no vacuuming, ever? and a lot of dust everywhere), minibar was dirty/lacking products and I cannot get over this massive rip off. I will never visit this hotel again. ALERT: be careful of this kind of rip offs!

We are frequent guests to the restaurant Seraser. In our opinion, it is the most atmospheric restaurant in the city: very Europeanized, great design, service and food. We’ve decided to stay at the hotel, hoping it is as much wonderful as the restaurant. The hotel and the restaurant have different names, but they are the same complex. And we were disappointed despite of the free upgraded we were granted. The room is small; there is no enough space to turn around in the bathroom. The mattress in uncomfortable, the pillows are even worse. There was being noisy during all the night and we almost did not sleep. Transport was passing, people outside were speaking loudly till 3 a.m., a dog was barking. At about 6 a.m. they started offloading boxes very noisy. So we did not manage to sleep at all. We came to the breakfast. It was held in our favorite restaurant. We hoped it would be marvelous. But when we asked for a green tea in a bag, I was told that I should pay for it. Around 300 TRY (3 EUR). It is a shame to the organization. Any, even the most budget hotels provide the tea for free. We asked to call the manager, but he was out. They made an exception and brought us a tea bag not billing us for it. We were not offered an omelet. All the food was only from the buffet table. We had not met that practice anywhere too. Walking to the buffet, you saw a table with dirty crockery. It was raked and resulted in a big bucket of waste. But the tableware was not carried away to the kitchen. And we had to pass by it, that was very unpleasant. The breakfast disappointed us. The design is the top level, but other issues have spoiled the impression. It is beautiful, clean. But all the other things are bad.

The hotel itself has a pleasant atmosphere and the grounds are attractively presented, creating a charming first impression. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was nicely furnished. Unfortunately, maintenance left much to be desired: the toilet flush did not work properly and, despite raising the issue, it was never repaired. Instead, we were offered to move to a smaller room. The bathroom light also flickered, which was inconvenient. More concerning, however, was that we found cockroaches in the room and even noticed one in the foyer – something that made us feel very uncomfortable in terms of hygiene. The minibar was also vastly overpriced. Breakfast was acceptable, though the overall quality felt rather cheap and underwhelming for a hotel of this standard. We dined at the in-house fine dining restaurant; while the food itself was of good quality, the pricing was far too high for what was offered. The same applied to the hotel’s two other restaurants. The service varied greatly depending on the staff – ranging from attentive and helpful to indifferent. On a more positive note, the pool area was clean and pleasant. At night, however, it could become quite noisy due to music and voices from outside, especially at weekends. Overall impression: A charming hotel with character and a lovely setting. Unfortunately, our room was poorly maintained, and the hygiene issues made us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, and while the restaurants serve good food, the prices are excessive for the quality provided. Sadly, the stay did not live up to our expectations.

The Expedia site or the pictures didn’t do justice. It is more beautiful than that. It is a full neighborhood of hotel and 3 restaurants restored from a 250 years old Osmania Khilafat building where one of the rich family lived. We booked the cheapest and smallest room but we got an upgrade to Deluxe which was beautiful with a windows wall from history overlooking a beautiful garden. I felt I was living 250 years ago. ||There is in room coffee, water and mini bar. King size comfortable bed and large bathroom with traditional decor. Room was hot so kept windows open and turned off heat. It was slightly noisy in case you are a light sleeper but I loved it as I was transported to my childhood. It rained one day so we stayed in and the music of rain on trees was so soothing like meditation music. One night we had dessert at the hotel fancy restaurant and it was awwwsom. The day it rained we went to hotel Italian restaurant and had pizza and salad it was fresh and yummy. ||Breakfast was OK as most were cold food and they made omelette if you order. Staff was generally friendly. Yasin who checked us in was outside waiting for us when we arrived to help us park and take luggage. Do spend time looking at decor and restoration along with a lovely terrace. We didn’t use terrace as found people smoking so didn’t want to inhale that. ||Lots to do within the old town or walk around town or go shopping. Lively town with lovely people and cute shops although most have mass produced but others were cute little shops. ||Some useful tips: no iron at all in the entire hotel due to fire codes which wasn’t clear when I booked. I had a formal dinner where I then wore something that wasn’t as formal but I didn’t have a choice. Hotel is in the old town with one way streets and lot of traffic. It was very challenging to drive so I suggest you take a cab and park outside or drive very slow if not used to such driving. Google directions to the hotel were useless given it is a large property and parking lot is on a different side. Make sure you ask the hotel for directions. Unfortunately I asked but hotel staff didn’t answer my emails through Expedia app. Also, to drive inside the old town you need to show your hotel reservations so...
