This hotel shouldn't even be rated 3 star. you have to carry bags up two flights of stairs, the worse was the breakfast, you are given one small omelette to share, there is no buffet, you get a plate with olives/cheese and turkish bread, per person, then you get a plate to share with 2 slices of baguette french toast and a small omelette. This hotel is also fairly racist. The male manager treats people of colour differently to the European travellers if they white. An indian lady was with her elderly parents and a kid, she asked for another omelette, he said "it is an extra charge" we asked for hot milk for our tea and he started mumbling under his breath. when the white patrons requested something he smiled and obliged. He made sure he carried all their bags to the taxi whilst we were left to carry our bags ourselves. Why this discrimination? the pool can't be used despite the pics, it doesn't get cleaned. The photo's on the sight is a far cry from the way the hotel looks. I have travelled all over the world, this is the first time I came across a breakfast included where you served a plate to share. I would suggest every traveller be careful as it was very bad seeing an adult sharing an omelette. No child should be subjected to racism in this day and age. Disgusting and disgraceful behaviour by an adult. Please try the hotel next to this one. Seemed much better. This hotel is very poor...
Read moreWe booked this hotel in April 2014. After booking, we called them and informed that we will reach midnight from Cappadocia. When we reached Pammukale, the hotel was a bit a walk. On the dirty road, we found this hotel. We noticed another Chinese couple was waiting too.. The hotel was closed... No one was at the reception. Called to the hotel number many times and no one answered. Finally, one staff member came and I asked to check in.. He told us that no rooms available. I showed him a booking. He said, manager has given room to someone else and manager is sleeping and not available. We said that is not our problem.. We have paid for the room and we want the room. We were helpless and tired and on road middle of the night. Finally that staff member called their other Melrose hotel and discussed. He took us to an other Melrose hotel, which was better than this hotel. I'm not sure what happened to the Chinese couple waiting for long. Anyways, I will never book with the hotel. Who gives no...
Read moreTravelled as a family of 6 staying in 3 rooms. Our flight from Istanbul was delayed by 3-4 hours, but the staff patiently waited up for us to arrive past midnight, and were still cheerful, friendly, and welcoming despite it being so late.
They were up again early the next morning serving their delicious breakfast: cold starter followed by a hot, cooked local meal and rounded off with home-made preserves from fruit that literally grow by the side of every other street: figs, quince, pomegranate, grapes, olives… doesn’t get fresher!
Location’s also good - took us 10 mins or so to walk back from the Pamukkale South Gate in the evening.
Don’t expect too much from the rooms which are pretty basic, but the draw card - and the reason we’d recommend staying here - are definitely the hosts. Friendly, family-vibe that makes you feel...
