Venus Suite - 73071833734209

I’m left conflicted with the positive reviews to this property.

This is my experience.

Checked in to a lovely front desk male staff member. Throughly went through details of the hotel and tours. Comfortable bed & pillow. Slippers are offered. Breakfast wide selection of foods, can’t fault.

This is where the positive experience ended.

First room that was provided was on the first floor, outside the window is the staff break area where they were smoking cigarettes and have a jolly chat.

Also outside this room is a loud ventilation pipe. This was my view.

Asked to move rooms, the gentleman said, “I’ll see what’s available” (hotel was not full)

We were than provided a room above reception facing the road.

Well this room was worse.

The house across the road with the farm animals, animals just wouldn’t shout up.

Owner of the animal house felt that everyone is interested in his loud car music.

Staff from reception decide to go outside all hours of the evening to smoke their cigarettes and have a jolly loud laugh & conversations outside reception right under the room that was allocated to me.

Reminder, I asked to be moved letting reception know I sleep with window/sliding door open & that staff were outside my original room on level one smoking. So again, I was moved to a room above reception where staff gathered as they smoked cigarettes and chatted. I’ll let you work out whether I was heard when I asked to move rooms and the reasons or staff ain’t aware of just how much noise and cigarette smell carry’s.

No sound proof rooms.

Other inconsiderate guests.

Would I stay here again, NO!

Would I recommend to family and friends, definitely NOT!

I’d wish someone would have mentioned this in their reviews that way I would have decided to stay elsewhere. I don’t believe it is a once off.

Hotel was not full, I’m sure they could have provided a quieter room with 2 single beds, but I feel cause we booked through a third party agent (Expedia) that we were provided this, noisy room with the animals.

At breakfast, young female employee was in the kitchen smoking & handling food.

Please, please, please if you want a good nights sleep, this is not the hotel for you.

Hope this honest review of my experience with this property assists you in making an informed decision when looking for accommodation...

Lots and lots of noise.

Reception: The main reception was very helpful and spoke English and was quick to check us in and provide details on the hotel.

Room / facilities: Room number 205 is on floor 2 and is clean and is located directly above reception. We stayed 1 night - thankfully

Self control air conditioning with a door that opens to the balcony.

The room is situated directly above reception, and if you don’t have noise from all the guests on either side of the room, you have the filthy smell of cigarettes being smoked by staff and guests outside the reception doors, along with the noise from the loud motorbikes and cars passing and inconsiderate loud people at reception coming straight into your room until about 11.00 pm (night). Additionally, the house across the road, has numerous chickens and turkeys that are gabbling during the day, but not night.

The room is quite small. It has a flatscreen TV air-conditioning hanging area, small bench space, mirror, bathroom and small hanging hooks and two single beds with bedside tables.

Parking: is free and available directly in front of the hotel and across the road where there is additional parking area for the hotel.

Wifi: Complementary and good speed. validation and password required.

Breakfast: Available for all guests. Its a super extensive buffet feast.

I also observed that one female staff member was sitting in the kitchen, smoking a cigarette indoors, and the cigarette smoke was drifting back into the kitchen and breakfast room, where all the food has been cooked and prepared. Disgusting.

Conclusion: Stay elsewhere, if you’re after a quiet room or a quiet stay, this is not the place. There are plenty of other hotels in town that no doubt that would be quieter than this hotel.

Letdowns: Smoke and noise from other guests and staff at reception, neighboring room noise, when other guests use their bathroom or flush the toilet, you can hear the water running down the pipes in this room. Inconsiderate guests or cleaners dragging / moving furniture and slamming doors at 7.00am (in the morning).

Daytime noise to around 11.00pm (at night) will not allow a comfortable stay.

Location / Nearby: Town is 850 m away

Recommendations: None

Negatives There are two dogs in this hotel that roam around the restaurant/garden/pool area. One dog bit my young child on the hand and we would like to notify everyone that this can potentially happen at this hotel. My child was having breakfast, finished and stood up to leave when the dog lept up and bit. I am surprised that a dog that bites is allowed to roam around the hotel, and there was no warning on check in that this may occur. I was even more surprised that there was no apology, or concern from the hotel manager and staff. There was no offer of first aid. Even when I asked for the vaccination paperwork to confirm the dog has been vaccinated against rabies, the paperwork was left on the table for me to look at. Attached is a photo of the dog. The restaurant staff after breakfast are not focused on customer service. Customer service requires constantly looking for the staff, and then it’s often a scowl if anything is ordered. Don’t order the sigara börek the oil is old and there’s too much filo pastry. We were in room 106 which is right next to the restaurant. The air conditoner system outside the window rattles against the building and could potentially keep you awake at night. The pillows all need changing and were very lumpy. Positives The hotel room is clean and tidy, and there are enough beds for a family of four in the ‘family room’ (unlike other hotels which only have enough beds for three people in a family room). Pamukkale is a very small place so it’s easy to walk around, even from this hotel which is further away from most of the restaurants. The front desk staff are able to assist with organising tours and activities.

This hotel is literally a stone’s throw distance from the Travertines. We got to interact with the owner Mr. Senol. What a happy man he is. He gave us an amazing room, with amazing views of the Tavertines and we woke up in the morning to the sight of flying hot air balloons from our balcony. The rooms were clean & spacious, bathroom was well stocked with amenities and the shower was simply amazing. The WiFi worked perfectly. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was a spread - with a variety of items ranging from hot and cold. The ambiance of the courtyard was so cosy and lovely. A special shout out to Pathi (the little puppy dog) who is just as happy as the people in this place and is always wandering around welcoming guests when they come and bidding goodbye to them when they leave. He stole our hearts! Overall a lovely stay.
