unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations.
I ordered the pan-seared chicken breast, which had an overwhelming zafra (raw poultry) odor and taste that made it inedible without drowning it in lemon or vinegar. The Caesar salad came without Parmesan cheese—an essential component. My friend ordered the chicken şiş (shish tavuk), which was completely bland: no salt, no spices, no sauce. He had to use nearly a quarter bottle of ketchup just to get through half the plate out of sheer hunger.
Worse, when we tried to use the salt and pepper shakers, we found cobwebs on them. The pepper had lost all taste, clearly very old. The menu listed soups and starters, but the staff casually stated they simply don’t serve them—not that they had run out.
I left 99% of my food untouched. We paid in full before voicing our concerns—not to get a refund, but to give honest feedback. The owner, to his credit, was extremely polite and apologized. He explained, surprisingly, that none of their dishes are normally seasoned or glazed unless specifically requested.
The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. The furniture is worn but serviceable. Service was fast and courteous. Interestingly, later that evening, we passed by and saw the place full of foreign tourists, so it appears to attract a crowd—possibly unaware of the quality.
Unless major improvements are made to seasoning, hygiene, and ingredient freshness, I cannot recommend...
Read moreWhat an absolute gem! We originally came for lunch to try the Chinese food, wanting a break from Turkish cuisine—and it was so good we came back for dinner the same day.
The restaurant offers both Chinese and Turkish dishes, which is unusual, but they’re cooked in separate kitchens by different chefs, and the quality of both is exceptional.
The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—some of the most attentive service we’ve had on our Turkish journey, but not over the top. After lunch, my wife mentioned she was craving Lahmacun, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The Turkish chef overheard and let the owner know that he'd be happy to make it. That kind of hospitality is rare.
Everything was delicious, very reasonably priced, and the whole experience was difficult to fault. Highly...
Read moreAfter travelling Turkey for a while we were craving something different so we tried this place and ate off their Chinese menu. It was so delicious, we eat a lot of Chinese at home from fancy restaurants and this place was just as good if not better! We tried, chicken noodle, fried eggplant with chilli and Sizzling chicken in pepper (normally beef but we asked for chicken) they were all excellent but stand out was the sizzling plate! Their Turkish food looked really good and cooked on a wood fire which was not common in this area, mostly gas bbq so if we we stayed longer I would of loved to try that too! It was air con inside too which...
