The hotel owner made our one night stay here the highlight of our time in Turkey. His genuine warmth and friendliness warmed us and helped us to fall in love with Selcuk. Plus he's very accomplished in the kitchen. Besides the scrumptious breakfast spread on the rooftop terrace, he grilled a fish dinner that was beautifully presented and among the best meals we've ever had. And best of all was that we experienced that wonderful meal while enjoying the lovely view of the illuminated castle and the sunset over the Aegean in the distance. ||||As another reviewer mentioned, the hotel initially was a bit hard to find because it's tucked away on a side street up the hill from the train station. Room was tiny with nowhere to put anything and it was very difficult to even walk around the bed. Lighting was glaring overhead single light or small office table lamp with cord stretching from the bathroom preventing the door from being closed. ||Breakfast is on the roof patio and the location of that was the high point of our stay (pun not intended). Great 180 degree views of the city and castle under nicely shaded and breezy canopy. ||For the price we paid it was good...
