OVERALL: Hotel is located at the heart of Selcuk town center. It looks like a shop (there is an area in the lobby that displays gemstones that look like it's for sale), they also have a 24 hr reception. Check in is very speedy, I arrived late but there are no issues. On weekends, the market is right outside of the hotel so can get really busy.
AMENITIES: They have a cool looking antique elevator (but it works perfectly), so suitable for travellers with huge suitcases. Staff escorted me to my room and helped with the luggage. The room is nothing fancy, but does what it needs to. Floor feels a bit dusty but the room is well ventilated. It also has a minifridge and air-conditioning which is a plus. As for amenities, they only have a water boiler, and two glasses, body wash and soap are the only things provided in the bathroom.
LOCATION: It's an easy 5-6mins walk from Selcuk Train Station, located among many restaurant, and within 10 mins to the Basilica of St. John / Ephesus Archaeological Museum/ Temple of Apollo. You can also walk 10 mins to Ephesus Minibus that drops you at the ancient city's lower entrance, but it's also possible to walk there. They also can keep you luggage after check out for pick up later.
I don't think they do daily housekeeping but it might just be that they didn't clean my room the night I stayed. There was no card to put at the door to let them know if you want / don't want...

Read moreI stayed here for one night in October 2023, and I wish I had been able to stay longer. Mehmet is a wonderful host. He very graciously answered our questions about the area and even walked us to his brother’s restaurant when we asked for a recommendation. (I also recommended the restaurant; my lunch there was incredibly fresh and delicious.) Mehmet has a very large rock and crystal collection on the ground floor of the hotel; all collected locally himself since Covid. When he saw my friend and I looking at it he gave us a tour of his collection.
The hotel was in a great location for us. It is situated right on the Saturday market, which is a must-do in Selçuk. We were also able to walk up to Ayasuluk Castle and St. John Basilica from the hotel.
The breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious and good value. Room was comfortable and we had a balcony overlooking the mosque across the street. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful as well.
Please keep in mind that this is a family-run, budget hotel. It is a wonderful example of a hotel in this category, but is not a luxury hotel and should not be judged as one. I would absolutely stay here again if I am fortunate enough to...
