I’m not sure why there are so many 5 star reviews for this place. They have horrible service. They called us inside saying that they will give us their long special bread. After being seated for 15 min we had to ask someone to simply give us a menu. We ordered food, juice and 2 Ayrans. Juice came after 20 min and Ayrans never came. The “special bread” which was Advertised As Their specialty never came. We told them multiple times about it but they ignored us by deceivingly saying that “It is coming” or avoiding our table. The 2 kebabs eventually came after 40 minutes.
Then one of the servers accidentally gave our 2 other dishes (2 PIDE) to another table. The people on that table ate and touched the pide. After 5 minutes the waiter realized they made a mistake. Instead of giving us a full fresh new Pide they moved the eaten Pide from the wrong table (that was already eaten from) to ours.
Everything happened in front of us and they thought we were not paying attention. We confronted them that we don’t want it because those people have already eaten it. Yet, they ended up serving us the same exact thing by making a fool out of us. They pretended to take a fresh one out of the oven but it was the exact same one.
When confronted, the owner walked away from us, with no apologies. We saw them give that same long “special” bread to another group who came after us (who were also more white appearing). Only when we mentioned that we were going to post a reveiw on google he said “I’m sorry brother”.
Food is ok nothing special. The guy and this place is a total ripoff. Travelers please be aware. Please don’t come here. Be very careful the 5 star reviews are a scam. They are cheap and this can happen with anyone. I never write reveiws but this is the worst service I have...
Read morePlace & Atmosphere: right in the middle of a bustling area next to the train station. It's located right in front of the aqueducts. Since I came in winter, I didn't sit outside to view the beautiful aqueducts, but rather inside where it was nice and warm.
Food: I ordered a Adana Kebab. It was my first time trying it, so I can't compare it to others. But to those who are tourists like me trying it for the first time, you will not be disappointed. The food is good and the portions were huge.
Service: The staff inside were very friendly and welcoming, they talked me through the menu and explained the different options that I might like. He explained to me what the Adana was, which made me end up ordering it. The staff was definitely my highlight of the dining experience and the reason I'm writing the review. They also don't change the prices randomly when there's tourist like me, unlike some other scam places in the area. 10/10 service good job guys 👍
Price: The adana was 350TL of the time of this writing, and a coke zero was 50TL. So the total came to 400TL. It is a bit on the high end, but I would not say it's overpriced. Considering the beautiful location, friendly service, and quality of food, it's definitely worth it for a dining experience.
Conclusion: great place, great people, great food... it's...
Read moreAt first I saw the name Nur Restaurant Kebab House and Barbecue. and, since I am a pescatarian and don't eat kebabs or barbecue, I thought "no". But for some reason I decided to glance through the menu... and very glad I did. As someone who used to live I Turkey and has travelled here extensively, my favourite part of any meal is the meze ("appetizers")... and the sea bream looked good (and having lived in Japan, I know bream is Good Luck!), I decided on those two things. The mezes were superb: 10 different items, from homemade pickled veggies (turşu) to standby hummus to haydari (yoghurt dip) to my favourites: soslu patlıcan (aubergine in tomato sauce and olive oil) and broad bean turlu! (and all of it meatless!) An when he brought out the pide (flat bread) to go with the meze... I was in heaven!! And the grilled bream (çipura) was so delicious. ... and when I finished I was...
