Visit Ephesus — Attraction in Selçuk

Really worth visiting, count 3 hours. Buy combo ticket at Ephesus entrance for the 4 places (excluded Virgin Mary Chapel). Cheaper like this than separately. Don’t take tourist bus, it will pick you up later in the morning and will stop at several carpet & jewelry shop so that you spend all your money there, negotiate price with taxi instead. We paid €70 taxi for 2 for all 5 places. (6h ride and visit) Go as early as possible as it is very warm from midday. No need of a guide at Ephesus entrance as there are descriptions at each sites. A great historical site, even the buildings are mostly ruins, you still can imagine their original greatness. The library of Celsus is especially beautiful, with magnificent details. The Theatre and the Odeon are still well preserved and quite a sight to see. It's better to take tickets in advance because there are a lot of tourists. Located in Seljuc citt of Turkey, some 80 km away from Izmir, 1 hour train journey. Or you can stay there in Seljuc for a night. From train station walk 5 mun to the bus stop to take a minibus to Ephesus. It requires 3-4 hours to see the ephesus city.
