I travel a lot for work as a visual artist and I have stayed at most of the big hotel chains: Starwood’s various properties, Aman, Meridian, Accor, Mandarin, Intercontinental, Choice, etc. On average, I spend nights at 25-30 different hotels per year – all around the world.

Somewhat surprisingly, I’ve become a big fan of the Park Inn by Radisson brand. And after a recent stay at the Park Inn Kyiv (Troyitska), so I feel compelled to convey my really great hotel experience there.

As in most hotels I stay at, it’s usually the staff that make or break my overall impression. If the hotel is fabulous but the service is terrible, that’s what I tend to remember. And if the hotel is so-so but the staff is kind, helpful and friendly, I might actually return one day.

The super-friendly reception staff at the Park Inn Kyiv made my stay very enjoyable. They all had great language skills and friendly smiles (they wore masks, but smiled generously with their eyes). It’s very clear to me that the management team at this hotel is doing a really good job at recruiting the right people and training them well. Of course, true talent is always a natural part of individual staff members. Either you have hospitality in your veins, or you don’t The training is always primarily guidance. Service-mindedness is an intuitive skill. Not something you can easily learn at a hospitality school.

Anyway…

The young men and women working in the bar at Park Inn also made me feel welcome every time I visited. The tasty draft beer and crispy, cheddar-flavored popcorn they serve is an unbeatable combination.

The hotel's breakfast is easy to recommend, too. Plenty of choices and an amazing coffee machine that managed to make a really decent cappuccino. Were I too mention an area for improvement, it would perhaps be the range of bread which was a little so-so.

Due to Covid, the restaurant was only open for breakfast. So next time I visit, I hope to experience eating dinner there as well. In the meantime, the hotel does offer fast room service and the cheeseburger and fries I tried were both well-made and tasty.

On a couple of occasions, I had a massage at the small spa and enjoyed a very professional and affordable experience. The machines in the gym are a bit dated, but work just fine.

So, I can without any hesitation recommend staying at Park Inn Kyiv. The location is good, the service is superb and the room I stayed in (#1402) was large, clean, and comfortable. And if you stay in a room on one of the top floors, you'll enjoy a fantastic view of Kyiv.

The Ukrainian capital is truly one of the world’s great cities and if it’s not already, it should be on your bucket list. So much to see and do. A cultural treasure, for...

I have stayed along with my collegue Park Inn by Radisson Kyiv Troyitska, Ukraine from October 4th- 6th. Our business stay was perfect until we checked out on 6th and left our suitcases at hotel reception to keep for us until we come back from city tour. We checked out from our rooms at 11:20 AM and left the suitcases to hotel reception, when we came back to the hotel at 5:30 pm and asked for the suitcases from the locker room, I have checked my luggage and there was 1800 Turkish Lira missing, and my friend checked his handbag and there was also 2500 Turkish Lira missing from his bag. We have immediately reported the situation to the reception desk. After the receptionist lady called his manager and talked for couple of minutes she asked me what my room was and what time I checked out, she told me that hotel wasn’t responsible for lost items. The lost item policy applies if this policy is mentioned if the staff informs the customer at the time where they lend the suitcases. This is the case where I am informed that the hotel isn’t responsible for any stolen or lost items after this incident.

I must inform you that my stay was excellent until I have experienced theft under the roof of Park Inn Radisson. This is a shame where I leave my suitcases under the watch and protection of Radisson and when I come back there is absolute disappointment. It is most important where trust is broken and promises aren’t delivered where emotions take place and name/party’s reputation is destroyed. In this very incident I can tell situation does not comply with Radisson brand name or what it promises in its premises. Customers prefers your company if they can leave their belongings under your protection and stay in peacefully. In this case my stay and comfort was good and Troyitska protection wasn’t good.

Please understand this situation and help at your best to improve your locker room safety. Also, I am looking forward to hear for your offer to help us compensate for our losses in your hotel.

Brand name means more than just a name, it is a promise to...

This is a great hotel in Kiev. The staff on reception are very helpful and polite, they genuinely care about your stay. We stayed for three nights, the room was immaculately clean. It was well furnished with everything we needed during our stay. The gym is also of a high quality, it is a good size, has plenty of equipment and never gets too busy. The location of the hotel is very good. It is next to the main stadium in Kiev so you can easily watch a football match - the hotel is effectively sound proofed so you won't be disturbed on match days. It is also next to the metro station providing good connectivity across the city, however, as the weather was good during my stay, I walked everywhere, it takes less than 20 minutes to walk to Maidan. There are plenty of places to shop and eat in the local area. I recommend Kushvyn, Milkbar, and Khachapuri & Wine. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The cost for our stay was £220 for two people, for three nights, booked on the day of arrival.

I stayed at this hotel in September for a couple of weeks. Service, the attitude from the team, room cleanliness were superb 👍🏻 From the personal security perspective it felt safe. Food was great too but because I was there for 2 weeks after first week the choice started feeling boring. I assume not many people stay for a long time so you won’t even notice this issue if you’re there for several days. The view from the room was fascinating and changed several times a day. Remember to check dates and times of the football games before you book. I am not a football fan and did not take into consideration the schedule of the football matches. It gets a bit noisy and there might be a crowd of football fans on the way to the hotel entrance.

A bit hit and miss. Room standard above Holiday Inn close by, but risk of being disturbed by noise from the stadium next door (even from the top floor, you can't see the pitch). Room service food ok, but menu is very limited. Some staff friendly, others uninterested. Internet reliable, but sometimes a bit slow for streaming. Gym small, but at least private. You can connect your device to the room TV via HDMI.
