Dampa Seafood Restaurant in Abu Dhabi offers a vibrant and unique dining experience, particularly if you're a seafood lover! The atmosphere is lively, and the decor has a fun, laid-back vibe that's perfect for family gatherings or casual outings with friends.
The standout feature here is definitely the seafood. I ordered the mixed seafood bucket, which was generously packed with fresh shrimp, crab, mussels, and clams, all cooked to perfection. The accompanying sauces were flavorful and added just the right kick to the meal. I appreciated the option for various spice levels, so you can customize your flavor experience.
Service was prompt, and our server was friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, which is always a plus in my book.
If I had to point out a downside, the seating chairs are not very comfortable, which can make it a bit challenging to enjoy a long meal. Additionally, the seating can feel a bit cramped during peak hours, so I'd recommend visiting during off-peak times if you'd prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.
Overall, Dampa Seafood Restaurant is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy fresh seafood in Abu Dhabi. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreFood - extremely tasty, good serving portion for a family of 4pax. we ordered the mix seafood with cajun sauce. very much recommended.
Service - our first time as a family to try this restaurant as highly recommended by friends. However, the service is extremely dissappointing, customer dining experience is awful. Staff are unfriendly, looks more of bouncers in a bar than waiters/food servers. Doesn't greet. Doesn't smile. Everyone is standing on the door only. You have to wait alot for them to approach you to get your order. They don't tell that you need to scan a code to check the menu. its like they expect you to know such things automatically. Nobody is roaming around and doing the table turns to check on customers. you have to come to the counter yourself to ask for some extra rice. If I did not approach the shift manager at the time ( i assumed he is the manager though), all the staff would just stand still on the door chatting away and not minding the tables. i saw a lot of customers looking around eagerly waiting for an attendant to them. customer service/service staff needs to be trained really. im a filipino and in proud of this resto. however, my kabayans on the service are truly bad. really really...
Read moreI was really looking forward to enjoying a nice seafood meal here, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start.
First, the host repeatedly mispronounced my name, even after I corrected them multiple times. It felt like they weren’t even trying to get it right, which was disrespectful. Then, after finally getting seated, we were constantly asked by different servers if we had ordered, despite placing our order while still in the queue. The lack of coordination was evident, as it felt like they didn’t know what was going on.
To make matters worse, the group who came in after us got their food way before we did. We had to follow up on our order to finally get it served. When it did arrive, the quality was subpar. The lobster had an odd taste, the shrimp was rubbery, and the crabs were incredibly difficult to eat—not the fresh, tender seafood you’d expect from a restaurant specializing in it.
If you want truly fresh seafood, I recommend going to the Mina Fish Market restaurants instead. Overall, disappointing service and quality here—I’m not sure I’d come back or recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality...
