We stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson in Abu Dhabi Yas Island and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
We had requested an early check-in a few days in advance due to our early morning arrival. Despite being told a note was made, nothing was recorded, and when we called from the airport to confirm, we were given no helpful guidance—just told to “come to the hotel.”
On arrival, we were informed that housekeeping only starts at 10 AM—something not communicated earlier. While I understand early check-in isn’t guaranteed, the lack of clear communication was frustrating.
We saw guests checking out and asked about taking one of the available standard rooms. Prashanth at the front desk acknowledged it was a downgrade but available. When Rhea took over, she responded rudely, sarcastically asking, “What room number?”—as if we’d know. She was unhelpful and dismissive to both me and my husband, and it was clear the front desk staff weren’t aligned or interested in helping.
To add to that, the restaurant staff were laughing loudly and adjusting each other’s outfits at the entrance—unprofessional behavior for a hotel of this category.
Update: A few hours later, we were upgraded to another room (unclear if this was due to our complaint or just the wait). However, cleanliness remained an issue—blanket stuffing was lumping, mirrors were unclean, and one of the lamps wasn’t working.
Overall, not worth the price for the lack of courtesy, cleanliness, and basic hospitality....
Read moreSpent 3 nights here for an event we were visiting on Yas Island. We booked 2 rooms for 3 adults and 2 children but when arrived realized they were not suitable so we had to book a 3rd room. Staff were helpful in this process but I had previously emailed asking about the room configurations and had not received a reply. My wife and I were locked out of our room for 45 minutes at one point because the batteries in the door mechanism went flat. This also happened to an elderly couple a few rooms down during our visit also. Once again, staff were able to help but it did take 45 minutes of waiting for the 'laptop to charge' to gain entry. Room service was slow but food was good. The good parts were the Bar manager was very attentive and looked after us during a late night visit, providing complimentary snacks and dip, the food and bev manager also came and spoke to us during a dinner visit and was understanding when we provided some feedback regarding a dish we had ordered. Breakfast staff were really good and all in all it was a good hotel. I think perhaps we just had some bad luck. Location is awesome, taxis always available out front and close to everything on YAS island. We would stay again for all of the good reasons. Plenty of free...
Read morePark Inn by Radisson in Abu Dhabi is a visually stunning hotel with beautiful rooms and a great location on Yas Island, making it conveniently close to Abu Dhabi’s top tourist attractions. The views from the rooms are particularly impressive, offering a serene backdrop to your stay. The facilities were also quite adequate, providing the essentials for a comfortable experience.
However, despite the hotel’s appealing aesthetics and prime location, my experience was unfortunately let down by the service. The reception staff were not very helpful, and their lack of attentiveness made the check-in and overall stay less enjoyable. Additionally, the breakfast service was disorganized and chaotic. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and were unable to manage the flow of guests effectively, leading to a less-than-satisfactory dining experience.
While the hotel has its strengths, such as the lovely rooms and great location, the shortcomings in service and organization were significant. For my next visit to Abu Dhabi, I would likely choose a hotel with better service and a more refined guest experience. It’s unfortunate, but for me, Park Inn by Radisson did not meet the expectations I had for a relaxing and...
