My 4th time staying at this hotel and should not be the last!
Staff service is a 5/5!! From my arrival till departure the staff were exceptional: they were helpful, informative, kind and like family! They wholeheartedly acted on our queries and worries and catered to our every need. Major major thanks and appreciation for Sir Ismail, Sir Hayat, Sir Nathan, Hawaa Ma’am, Sir Ashenafi, Poonam Ma’am and her breakfast team including Robin Sir. There are many many more names to mention! They all made us feel super comfortable!
The room was cleaned amazingly every day, thanks to Ashenafi Sir! Provided us with water bottles, toiletries, slippers etc so really pleased.
Check in and check out was easy, no stress or hassle. Just remember you need to pay your Tourism Tax Fee on arrival at the hotel which is 15 Dirhams per nights. This is paid to any hotel you stay at.
Location is Old Dubai- great links for the sights via the Metro which is a 15 min walk. (Al Fahidi/Al Sharaf DG) The Metro is really easy to grasp your head around and is much cheaper than taxis so a good shout! Direct links to the Malls/Burj Khalifa/Beaches/Airport etc. Near shops, supermarkets, Souks and restaurants. Highly recommend trying Bawarachi- Hyderabadi restaurant near Al Raffa Police Station!!
Very close to the Dubai Creek where you can catch a ride across the Creek for 1 Dirham and go to the Gold Souk. The hotel is 20 mins from the airport- Arabian Courtyard do offer a ride for 100 Dirhams. This was expensive for me but when you don’t want to miss your flight you have to pay haha.
Wear comfortable trainers as a lot of walking in this area! I learnt the hard way hahaha
Only things that could be improved are the breakfast choices which we had made clear to the staff and they did accommodate us graciously which we are extremely thankful for.
In light of COVID- wearing masks all the time and everywhere you go except for your room and when you eat. This is a general rule in the country. I did not feel scared or uncomfortable; hotel was very clean and generally the city is kept immaculate, the sights are immaculate and there’s no need to worry. Take your precautions as you would do normally. Social distancing is a given, sanitiser and masks etc. Smaller taxis (5 seaters) restrict customers to 2 and larger taxis accommodate for more passengers- this is a government rule and all passengers must wear face masks.
Dubai Museum is closed which is across the road from the hotel and some Mosques are closed but otherwise everything is open for business...

Unfortunately, our most recent visit has been very disappointing and it seems that the overall standard of this hotel has declined significantly over the recent years.||We booked a deluxe room, paying more, which turned out to be a standard room size with just an extra single bed in it which we did not need. . |Housekeeping services were inconsistent and unsatisfactory. On the first day, only the most basic cleaning was done —only the bedding and towels were replaced. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, cups left dirty and teabags, sugar, and even water bottles were not replenished .||The service culture has also deteriorated. Staff, who were once welcoming, now appear rude and uncoordinated. For example, we tried to arrange a massage with Urban Company (a well-known professional service provider in the UAE). One staff member said it was fine while another restricted it to 60 minutes and the manager outrightly refused. This lack of consistency and professionalism was truly off putting.||When we raised an issue about the malfunctioning “Do Not Disturb” and “Clean the Room” buttons, the response we received from the lady at reception was dismissive .||Another surprising and unprofessional detail was the antique feedback box at the hotel. It was completely full of customer notes, obviously unread and amusingly, the box is up for sale with a price tag on it!! I presume whoever buys it would also get unrestricted access to all the guest feedback — a clear breach of privacy.||Amidst all the disappointment, one staff member stood out — Mr. Ahmad. He has been at the hotel for many years and treated us with courtesy and sympathy. His professionalism was the only highlight of our stay.|Sadly during this stay we felt uneasy returning to the hotel after being out. In the past, we have always recommended Arabian Courtyard to friends and family, many of whom also stayed here. Unfortunately, we will no longer do so.||We are not difficult guests — we spend our money to relax and enjoy our time. This experience left us with quite the opposite feeling. We doubt if we will ever stay at this...

Sadly, during this trip we felt uneasy returning to the hotel after being out. In the past, we have always recommended Arabian Courtyard to friends and family, many of whom also stayed here. Unfortunately, we will no longer do so.
