Dear Friends,
Since I have always written my reviews with my conscience, I don't have a habit of writing nonsense in my reviews. I have never sullied my reputation or that of the places I have visited so far. Having visited many countries and written reviews with both positive and negative points, please read my review and proceed.
As a first point, I prefer to write about the pluses here.
LOCATION: Located at the heart of Bur Dubai, opposite the Dubai Museum, the restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa.
when we stay in the hotel, we normally go to Mumtaz Mahal for our lunch or dinner.
FOOD: Tasty and Delicious. No need to discuss further.
LIVE PERFORMANCE: There is a live performance (a dance) in the evenings and live music throughout the day. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good. Clean and its aroma is reminiscent of Arabian ouds.
Ms. SANIA ALI MALIK: The Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa and the restaurants are fortunate to have Sania Ali Malik as a stewardess. Ms.Sania is extremely competent, hardworking, motivated, result-oriented, and dependable. Accustomed to international environments and at full ease with different cultures. She is loyal, warm-hearted, and generous.
Ms. UROOJ: During the busy hours of the day, Ms. Urooj will help her colleagues in serving the food to the clients, leaving her very little time to think about being a receptionist.
Mr. MOHAMMED ISHFAQ; he is very competent, hardworking person, and Very friendly. He manages difficult situations very easily with his smile. Such a good person.
NEGATIVE POINTS:
Personally, I would not recommend going with children's. If this is an Indian restaurant, a cultural dance should be performed. However, I will not go into depth regarding the dancing performance.
While I was staying at the Arabian courtyard hotel and spa, the receptionist provided coupons for lunch and dinner at the Mumtaz Mahal Indian Restaurant. On the first day, we went to Mumtaz Mahal for supper/dinner, and the manager's behavior was not pleasant.
The manager thinks I'm paying out of my own wallet or giving me free meals since I have the voucher to go inside. If the manager believes this, he may have informed the food and beverage department or hotel management. Instead, showing his nasty attitude with the clients.
I checked with my friends who are now staying at this hotel and planning to eat supper/dinner there, and they said they are having the same problems and are hesitant to visit the Mumtaz Mahal restaurant. Even though they have paid the Hotel, they are eating their meal/dinner outside.
The manager place all the reserved signs over the table and he provide the seats only to the people those who he knows. For all others he allocate the seats in the corner. Who is he to do so..?
Is the manager a racist, or does he really have an emotional and behavioral problems, or is it a case of discrimination? If this is the case, he should remember one thing in mind that he is in Dubai. He will be deported and barred from entering the country. The King, the crown Prince and the government will never entertain all this.
One thing I'd want to point out is that a thousand eyes are on you guys, so keep that in mind. So please don't be caught by the ministry and ruin the hotel and restaurant's image.
According to me, the restaurant and hotel should remove him from his position and replace him with Ms. Urooj at the senior level.
Note: I'm giving two star rating is only for the quality of food, location and for the service of Ms. Urooj, Ms. Sania and Mr. Ishfaq.
Thanks...

Read morea google search for a "dine with live indian music" got us to this place. it started with the correspondence with their representative who very patiently replied to all our queries. Though it wasn't easy finding the place, we didn't give up and reached with an hour's delay, only to witness something which could easily be mistaken for a cheap dance bar, but it took us less than a minute to realize that we had striken a jackpot!!!
five hours of beautiful live indian music sung by an amazing male singer accompanied by professional instruments, and the cherry on the top, four indian beauties performing freestyle yet graceful professional dances without any single gram of vulgarity!!!.
the crowd was a mixture of youngsters, elderly and families, all enjoyed equally, especially the opportunity to request for songs.
the food was excellent, even met my restriction of no chilli!!! the prices were lower than expected, for really big portions of freshly cooked food with a complimentary platter of paapd, salad, pickles and chutney.
special credits: Vertika one of the four dancers who just conquered our hearts with her soulful dance. Sarla the hostess as perfect as a hostess can be, very attentive but not pushy.
sorry, but the female singer Seema needs a lot of polishing, otherwise the whole experience was truly divine, a true opportunity to appreciate art.
I'd like to take the opportunity and thank the owner of the place for the concept, for gathering all those wonderful gems, creating a lovely...
