I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Khalidia Palace in Deira, Dubai, and I must say, it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had in the city. From the moment we stepped in, the overall ambiance of the hotel gave off a welcoming and luxurious feel. The interiors are elegant and modern, and everything—from the lobby to the corridors—was immaculately maintained.
Most of the hotel staff were exceptionally courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality really enhanced our experience. However, I must mention that the Indian staff at the check-in counter lacked the same warmth and professionalism as the rest of the team, which was a minor letdown at the beginning of the stay. That said, all the other staff, including housekeeping, restaurant servers, concierge, and room service attendants, were fantastic and made our stay extremely comfortable.
One of the major highlights of the hotel is undoubtedly the food. Whether it was the lavish breakfast buffet or the à la carte dishes at their restaurant, everything was absolutely delicious. The hotel offers a wonderful variety of international cuisines, with dishes that are well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can truly see the attention to detail the culinary team puts into every meal. From continental favorites to traditional Middle Eastern delights and Asian options, there's something to please every palate.
The rooms are incredibly spacious, tastefully designed, and filled with positive, calming vibes. It was a delight to come back to the room after a day out exploring Dubai. The beds were comfortable, the amenities modern, and the overall ambiance felt luxurious yet homely. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was impeccable.
A special mention goes to Mr. Mohammed Iqbal, the General Manager of the hotel. We had the pleasure of meeting him during our stay, and he truly knows how to make guests feel welcomed and valued. His warm and friendly demeanor, along with his evident dedication to ensuring every guest has a great experience, reflects in how well the hotel is run. It’s clear that the team under his leadership strives for excellence.
Overall, Hotel Khalidia Palace offers a blend of comfort, elegance, delicious cuisine, and wonderful service. Aside from the small hiccup at check-in, everything else was smooth and exceeded our expectations. This hotel truly stands out not just for its facilities, but for the people who make the experience special.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Deria Dubai and will certainly be returning myself. A solid...
Read moreI am composing this review with profound disappointment regarding the service provided by the staff at Khalidia, particularly the receptionist who facilitated our check-in on June 5-7. We selected this hotel anticipating the comfort and professionalism characteristic of a five-star establishment; regrettably, it significantly failed to meet those expectations.
Upon our arrival at the five-star hotel, we were disappointed to find that the staff neglected to extend even the most fundamental gestures of hospitality or welcome, despite the fact that we were entering from the sweltering heat while carrying a baby.
We approached the receptionist at the counter, but she merely stared at me. I was the first to greet her with a cheerful "good afternoon," yet received no smile in return, suggesting she was not enjoying her job. I informed her that we had a reservation that was already paid online; however, she insisted that I pay again at the counter, despite my showing her the confirmation and receipt of the online payment. Consequently, I ended up making a double payment, although I was reimbursed after contacting the hotel a few days later. After completing the check-in process, there was a lack of proper assistance or guidance regarding how to reach our room, especially since we had a baby with us. Nonetheless, it was manageable.
We were thrilled to enter our room, as our 8-month-old baby truly enjoys the ambiance of a hotel. However, we were taken aback to find the room in a state of disarray; in short, it was not prepared for occupancy, yet we were placed there. I voiced my concerns, feeling unwelcome from the moment we arrived, especially since we had expected the room to be tidy and the crib and baby cot to be set up as promised. To alleviate the situation, we were upgraded to a suite (although what we truly desired was the warm service of the staff).
Additionally, the refrigerator is not functioning effectively, as my baby's food spoiled despite the provision of a bucket of ice. This straightforward concern should be resolved, ideally by raising the cooling temperature of the appliance.
The room was quite pleasant, and I sincerely appreciate how the banquet food catered to our requests. The location is convenient, being close to our home; however, the service provided by the staff was disappointingly inadequate. While we typically refrain from sharing our experiences, the one we encountered wa notably...
Read more12 -18 September 2025: We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and 7 days (a group of four ladies, one gentleman, and a child under two). Our journey was from Germany to Dubai, and after such a long and tiring flight, we were warmly welcomed at the reception. Although the official check-in time was 3:00 PM, the staff kindly prepared a suite for us by 12:00 noon because of the baby. While waiting, the manager Ahmed generously invited us for refreshments to make us feel more comfortable after the long trip. Several members of the team were extremely professional, attentive, and friendly, and I would like to highlight their names: • Merana from the laundry service • Elly and Sadikshya from the breakfast and restaurant area • Ahmed from the guest relations/management team, who was very kind, professional, and sincerely interested in our feedback for the improvement of the hotel. Overall, our stay was excellent, and we truly appreciated the service and hospitality. However, there are a couple of areas where I believe the hotel can improve: • Breakfast: Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The variety was limited, with the majority of dishes being Indian cuisine. At times, some vegetables and bread seemed to be from the previous day. Personally, I was hoping to enjoy more Arabic-style breakfast options (or Turkish, which is close to Arabic cuisine) that would better reflect the culture of the region, especially in a five-star hotel in Dubai. • Gilaneh Restaurant: At first, everything seemed very pleasant — the chef personally greeted us, which we appreciated. However, as a vegan guest, I had difficulties. Several dishes on the menu were unavailable, and when I asked about options, a chicken soup (part of the service) was served to us. I politely asked the chef if it was fully vegan or made with chicken stock, and the answer was that it was indeed prepared with chicken stock. Naturally, I declined. Unfortunately, instead of understanding, the chef reacted with a smirk and a dismissive attitude, as if questioning why I was vegan at all. This was disappointing and not what I would expect in a five-star property, where dietary preferences and restrictions should be respected with professionalism. I sincerely hope that in the future both the breakfast selection and the restaurant’s approach to guests with dietary needs will be improved, with more variety, respect, and...
