Have been a member (for lawn tennis only) in this Club since last 3 to 4 years. I play regularly and the Courts were renovated about two years ago. Good place indeed. However, they have increased the annual membership fees by 50% in 2017, since then we have noticed a considerable drop in the Membership. Court no. 3 is empty since December 2017 in the morning on weekends. Earlier, members would flock in large numbers to these courts each weekend mornings. This Club regretably doesn't organize Tournaments for the Members. In last three years, they have organised it once only. This Club leases out the courts to external parties, whereby we the paying Members are not permitted to use the courts. They can lease out the Courts, but then they should credit to the individual members account the days when we were unable to use these Courts. Case in point is the Asian Junior ITF Championships which were held in this Club last fortnight, whereby all Courst were out of bounds for the paying Members between 0800 hours to 1800 hours. It is suggested that the Management reduce the annual membership fees to the original levels, which may entice the Members (who have left this...
Read moreI have been visiting Al Nasr Leisureland for past 40 years (3 generation), atleast thrice in a year for some show or events in the ICE RINK AUDITORIUM.
The saddest part is the balcony chairs and air conditioning. Most of the chairs in the balcony are slanting and has become so hard. I think from 40 years they have the same chair have been refurbished and used or maintained.
A show or a event is minimum 3 hours, every single person keeps twist and twirl around bcoz of the back aches and leg pains as they have to keep a balance to sit so long and the chairs are so hard ones.
The air circulation is so poor that if the crowd is more and full house then people feel suffocating and palpitation, specially babies and small children will start crying and the whole event is disturbed and poor parents is either helplessly leave the event or stand outside till its over.
If the management can take the interest to spend some money on this Ice Rink auditorium to replace the chairs and have more air vents and air supply options installed then for next 30 or 40 years this place would exceptionally good for more shows and events.
Hope management would work on...
Read moreA budget-friendly place for skating and bowling. The prices are extremely cheap compared to those in malls, but as expected, the cleanliness is not at the same level. The place clearly needs renovation and better maintenance. The ski shoes need proper cleaning, as well as the entire area.
Another downside is that some workers start covering the ice way before the closing time, which feels disrespectful to customers who have rented the space until the end of their session. For bowling, we were asked to write our names on a plain piece of paper which looks scratch and didn’t look presentable at all , it wouldn’t hurt to make it look a bit more decent.
Overall, if you’re an athlete just looking for a practice area for skating and bowling, this place works. But for a clean, well-maintained experience, it might not meet your...
