Blacksmith's cottage is a gem of a place, in an unbeatable location for discovering all that Lavenham and the wider area has to offer. The cottage is beautifully decorated with real attention to detail, and well equipped with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. The bed is beyond comfortable and the gorgeous bath adds a touch of luxury. The cottage's central position in Lavenham is a huge plus – we loved being able to easily wander to the quirky shops, sample the delicious offerings at the various restaurants and pubs, and enjoy scenic walks directly from the door step. Matthew proved to be a wonderful host, providing excellent and prompt communication from the initial booking right through to our departure. JUST AMAZING! We stayed at Blacksmiths Cottage for 2 nights, one of which was our 20th Wedding Anniversary and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay.

The cottage was beautifully furnished to a high standard, extremely clean & well equipped and the welcome hamper (including wine, cake, biscuits, jam) was really appreciated after a long journey. Having never been to Suffolk before we were amazed by the very old buildings in Lavenham and also loved the fact that everywhere in the town was easily walkable, meaning no need for the car whilst we were there.

Matthew recommended local restaurants and also a lovely walk that we could do along with our dog which had a very welcome pub stop for lunch in the middle, all of which were perfect for what we wanted.

We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thank you...

Blacksmiths cottage is a wonderful mix of old & new..loads of character, with hi spec modern gadgets that made our stay really comfortable. Lavenham itself is a warm & friendly place with loads of places to eat, I highly recommend Meemsaab the Indian restaurant, the food & service is excellent... Back to blacksmiths.. we were welcomed with wine,biscuits & Victoria sponge, in the cool really well equipped kitchen, that has everything you need, including sharp knives & nice coffee... Yasuko my Wife loved the old skool bath, myself being old & fat enjoyed the big shower...we also had our Whippet Lulu with us she loved all the great walks around Lavenham & further afield

So thanks very much Matthew and Julie for making our stay for our 20th wedding anniversary a really special one ..I can't recommend Blacksmiths...
