Quirky hotel with unique decor a short walk from Cirencester city centre. Lovely hotel lounge. Lots of stairs so not good for those with mobility issues or large suitcases. I had booked a Signature Super King room for mine and my sister's birthday celebrations. We were allocated Needham room. While the room itself was very nice, (with a comfortable bed, and nice shower with good water pressure), there were issues. We were truly disappointed that the windows were frosted over so you couldn't see out the windows and very little light came through. It felt a bit like a basement room because of that. Secondly the Chromecast on the TV did not work (and yes we were connected to the wifi etc). I see other reviews have mentioned this issue in that room. Thirdly the noise was bad. We could hear every word from the room opposite (including them knocking on their door, which sounded like our door, at 4:30am) and the live music downstairs did keep us up. The breakfast was very nice. There was a problem with payment at check out. The receptionist tried my card twice and said it wasn't going through as if the problem was on my end when I knew it wasn't. My sister offered her card which was very embarrassing as the hotel stay was supposed to be her birthday present. Hers didn't go through either, so obviously a problem on the hotel's end. Eventually was sent a payment link that worked. On top of this, I was told in more than 1 email before arrival that the parking in the car park opposite would be free all day on Sundays. I realise the car park is not part of the hotel, but this information is misleading as it was in fact a lie and it's a good thing we happened to check what it said at the car park or else we would have been charged - I did go back to reception to mention this and was told this would be passed on to management but be aware of this. Overall a nice hotel but was hoping to have less disappointment during this...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding at Ingleside House for Leila & George, and it was such a brilliant experience from start to finish. This venue feels like a hidden gem – full of personality, style, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that really makes smaller celebrations feel special.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel so looked after. They were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating a brilliant experience not just for the couple, but for everyone involved. It’s a huge plus when a venue is that thoughtful with suppliers too – it makes the day flow beautifully and allows us to focus on capturing the real, honest moments.
Inside the house, the decor is lush – modern, colourful, and full of fun details without ever feeling overdone. It’s got a really playful energy to it that we loved. Each room has its own vibe, with bold wallpapers, vibrant furniture, and interesting little corners everywhere – all of which photograph beautifully. It’s not your usual blank canvas; it’s bursting with character, and it felt like such a perfect match for Leila & George’s day.
There’s something really special about a venue that feels both stylish and intimate – and Ingleside nails it. The indoor spaces are a dream if you’re planning a cosy celebration, and the lighting throughout the house is so flattering (especially dreamy for our film work!).
We’d absolutely recommend Ingleside House for couples who want something a bit different – relaxed yet refined, creative, colourful, and just a real joy to...
Read moreMy wife and I celebrated a special birthday at this lovely hotel. As we approached it we took in the lovely Cotswold stone of the building. We were warmly welcomed by Millie at reception. Our room was located on the first floor but there were some stairs to be negotiated after the main staircase. Our room was beautiful, to say the least. The decor had obviously been designed by a professional, the paint applied by a master craftsman. The 6' bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning. The shower room was of a good size with luxury fittings and clean towels every day. In fact, everything in this hotel was spotless, thanks, no doubt, to some very hard work by the housekeeping staff.|The restaurant was not large but the nooks and crannies made it quite intimate. (Do look for the staircase that doesn't go anywhere!). The decor was also stunning: take a look at the paintwork on the wooden floors; so simple yet unusual. Archie looked after us with a friendly professional manner serving us with freshly...
