Came to Cirencester for an walk around, and happened to walk past this cafe from the Waterloo Car Park, and my partner wanted to stop for a coffee, and then decided to stop for lunch. Luckily a table outside had just become free that we could tuck the pram away too. Didn't know it was table service until I went inside to order, but table service did take a while, even for clean down on the table from the previous patrons, and then people that had arrived after us were being seen too before us. Thankfully we weren't in a rush, or overly hungry so this wait didn't cut into our time here. The food was good, I personally don't like peppers, olives or celery, so that arriving on my ploughman's was a shame, but the baby enjoyed it so it balances out! The staff were super friendly and courteous, and the prices was really good too. Other than the wait time for service, my only gripe is the lack of baby change facilities in the toilet, I honestly think there's space for a pull down baby table, rather than having to do it on the floor. But I'm sure we'll return when we're next in Cirencester, as its a friendly cafe...
Read moreTucked slightly out of the way from the high street is this lovely little spot. I took my mum here for a birthday lunch after she was drawn to the Ploughman's on the menu! We sat outside in the sun at an appropriately mosiac patterned table and despite the clear popularity of the place, were served quickly by two very friendly waitresses. Drinks were great, especially my hot chocolate and the food itself was reasonably priced given the location and had more than adequate portion sizes. There was also a selection of fresh cakes and pastries but we did not indulge in these so I can't comment - though they did look good! The only thing was that some square, brown tables were deceptively placed nearby which lulled both ourselves and a myriad of others into thinking they were part of the cafe. They weren't as explained by the waitresses each time so signage would definitely be of benefit to prevent this. Overall however, my mum was extremely happy with her meal, as was I and I would definitely recommend this place as a peaceful, pleasent place to sit and enjoy some lunch. Would more than...
Read moreWe decided to start our trip into Cirencester with a bacon sandwich. Having breakfast out makes a bit of a change & we'd been to the Cafe Mosaic before so made it our selected port of call. The bacon sandwich was changed to bacon & egg & with a fresh cup of coffee, we had a wonderful breakfast. The space is light & the walls are decorated with multiple mosaic sculptures & pictures that are produced by local artists & are available for purchase. Other than breakfast fayre, there were also lots of other cakes, scones, cheesecakes & the majority are all made in the cafe. The meringue that was carefully placed in the display counter looked fabulous. The Cafe Mosaic certainly isn't like the mass produced high street coffee shops & is a colourful welcoming oasis that is certainly worthy of recommendation & we will certainly be...
