Toro gets a 3* Easy access in the high street with plenty of parking in the area. The entrance is open and you are met with a wait here sign, not too long i hope. 😜 We made our own way to a table. The menu is diverse with plenty of food options including vegetarian and vegan. Good selection of drinks too. I ordered a katsu chicken burger and a birra Moretti. Unfortunately the burger was just s standard chicken burger and the beer was flat. I spoke to the bar and they said the beer wasn't flat? Im drinking it and its as flat as the plains of atakama. Unfortunately she wouldn't accept it wasn't flat as she really didn't know what that meant. Generally if a beer is flat, it means the beer is too cold in the cellar, or the pipes need cleaning or the beer is old. Choose an option. The katsu burger is part of the katsu revolution where you can get it in every single restaurant in the UK. Unfortunately not many people know what it is. Yes its from Japan, however it has a special blend of breadcrumbs (panko) and a tonkatsu sauce hence katsu burger. Recommendations Not recommended. When no one listens to you or even accepts that the customer is right i.e. change the beer or provide and decent katsu burger. #garysyribe #localguides #letsguide #foodblogger #vegan #cirencester #torolounge

I feel bad leaving a negative review for Caballo, being one of my favourite cafes in Epsom, but last time we went the service was extremely poor. We went on a Sunday for brunch, and the place was almost empty. 40 minutes after ordering our food, we had to remind the staff, and they ensured us the food was coming. We had to wait almost one hour before the 2 brunches and the salad finally arrived. We did not complain, but we were offered complimentary drinks for the long wait. We asked for a Coke, which arrived immediately after, and a coffee, which never came. On top of this, the table next to us was full of dirty glasses and dishes from previous clients, and nobody cleaned it in almost 2 hours we stayed there. We are not picky, but mugs were also not very clean, we had to clean the table because it was sticky, jars with tap water empty all the time and no glasses available. We will come back because we love the place and the food was amazing as usual, but please do something to improve the service or you will loose all your regular customers.

Order and wait for an hour. Literally waited for a long long time (almost an hour) we arrived and order at around 7. And received the food at around 8. The food was delicious though. Really hot and good. May be they prepared it from the scratch after we ordered. The service can be better. It has to be. There were 2 staffs serving an almost full restaurant which had a min of 15 tables full or even more. Good for vegans and vegetarians. The staff forgot one item in the order but offered a refund. If not for the service it can get a 4star and if not for the quantity it can get a 5 star. Overall food was good. Service needs to be improved Toilets are ok. Price not too expensive but the quantity was slightly less for that price. Ambience was excellent.

We have visited a number of times previously, and have enjoyed our visits. Following today it wouldn’t be top of my list to hurry back.

They were incredibly busy, but they had a table outside on the terrace, luckily a lovely sunny October day.

The menu was via a QR code, which worked on my phone, but not my friend’s. Once ordered there a long wait for the hot drinks to arrive.

My matcha arrived initially with the additional ingredient of a hair (the other drinks were fine). When I questioned whether it was a hair with the waitress denied it, and only accepted it when I fished it out. My new matcha returned (hairless), but was lumpy and not pleasant to drink.

There was a long wait for food, they were busy so that was understandable. 2/3 meals were delivered earlier than the remaining meal, to the extent that I thought mine had been forgotten about (and had to steal a hash brown). Mine arrived a good 5 minutes later, after my friends were well through their meals, with no apology.

The cutlery I was given was also dirty and needed to be swapped for clean.

It appeared to be a common theme with food delays today, as I heard the waitress apologise to another two tables. Her delivery needs some improvement, as she sounded, insincere and uninterested.

The meals itself was fine. The Miami breakfast and large breakfast both had good presentation, and were tasty. The Nasi Goreng wasn’t too appealing to look at but was tasty enough and plentiful.

The serving staff could do with some lessons in etiquette, as I don’t appreciate people adjusting themselves (at eye level) before serving me my food. The dress of one of the staff looked liked pyjamas and incredibly scruffy....

It's very rare that I do this, and I hate to do so because the food served is good, but today I had the worst experience I've ever had in a resteraunt.

I've been going to Caballo lounge in Epsom for many months. For a while before and around Christmas, it was wonderful. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Today, I experienced absolute and disgusting abuse. I've seen signs of it on my last couple of visits, but today was the final straw.

When one of the girls went on break to get some food from the kitchen, a torrent of abuse came from the men in there, including calling her very offensive names such as 'idiot' and 'stupid'. I gritted my teeth but had to let it pass.

Rick, the new manager, is a BULLY. He, along with his two minions, are treating some of the girls here like scum, teaming up and making her cry on shift.

Today was absolutely dispicable. A girl walked into the kitchen and told me she was going to get some food for her break. A few moments later, I heard a man SHOUT at her, calling her 'brainless and stupid'

I will NOT support a rude, sexist establishment and condones bullying. I have never seen or heard anything like it in any business I've been in. I was for a while a several-times-a-week customer. Sometimes alone, sometimes with family, sometimes with friends. You will never see my custom again. I saw several people look over at the commotion and raise eyebrows. No person should go to work and have to be scared of bullying and verbal abuse...
