Proper oldschool 'greasy spoon', cheap, cheerful and staff are very friendly. Cleanest greasy spoon cafe I've ever been to. Granted it's not fine dining however the food's good -- my only suggestion is I wish they'd butter the burger buns. Rapid service too, food came piping hot within 10 mins of ordering. Going in here is like stepping back in time, the sort of place your Nan would take you as a kid. 10/10 Edit: I went for the half pounder burger meal but didn't want side salad, so the waitress asked if I wanted beans in lieu free of charge, you don't get service this good in Mcdonalds Edit #2: Gutted to hear that this place closes permanently tomorrow 20/12/24 after 40 years. What a find! This place has not changed since the 1970’s - and that is what makes it amazing. Forget a 70’s themed café, this is the real deal!! Friendly staff, cracking breakfast, comfy seats (no hard uncomfortable plastic, these are cushioned ORANGE vinyl.) A harvest gold Austin Maxi parked outside would complete the picture.
