The Coal Orchard — Restaurant in England

Have twice used this Wetherspoons to have breakfast when staying at the local Travelodge. Wetherspoons normally do a good well priced fried breakfast but at this particular one they don't know how to scramble eggs! The first time I went the scrambled eggs were more like chopped up hard fried egg. On returning four weeks later I ordered the same breakfast but particularly asked that the eggs be properly scrambled. Unfortunately they came the same way as previously experienced. There should not be chunks of solid yolk in scrambled egg and lots of totally white lumps. It's not difficult to scramble eggs! Always met with excellent staff with courteous manner who are also quick, efficient and welcoming - unlike the other Witherspoon pub in Taunton.

Sure sign of an extremely well organised and effectively run pub - good strong management and hard working staff who are never paid enough for the service and added value they provide - well above and beyond the levels of pay they are given.

Shame on the founder of the chain - I hope the barstard turns in his grave when he realises the loyalty he has been given by so many hard working honest people.

The other half says the chicken, bacon & avocado salad is best here than any other Weatherspoons she's been to. I find the place friendly (a chap in his wheelchair got stuck in the doors going out & three customers got up to help, all from different tables & different age groups) & the staff are informative & efficient. My 6oz burger (make it a double, plus cheese & bacon & onion rings) her salad, a pint of 1664 & an Exmoor Gold , all for £18! & on my next pint I used my 50p off CAMRA voucher!
