We recently stayed at this youth hostel for our annual school trip, and once again, it was an excellent experience. I’m the trip leader, and I can honestly say we had a fantastic time. All the rooms have en suites, and the linen is always fresh and clean. The accommodation is extremely well-kept and maintained — it truly feels like a touch of luxury while still being perfectly suited for school groups.||Lee and his wife are incredibly caring hosts who go above and beyond to look after us. They take great care to ensure that all pupils with allergies and dietary needs are fully catered for, which gives us real peace of mind. The whole site feels safe and welcoming, and it’s clear that every detail is thought through.||Lee is also brilliant with the booking and administration side of things — always organised, efficient, and understanding of the needs of a school group. He’s been flexible and helpful when we’ve needed to make last-minute adjustments, which makes the whole process stress-free.||The location is ideal, and the service is truly five-star. We’ve been coming here every year, and we’ll definitely continue to do so.||Highly...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Room Hostel! The owner Lee was really friendly and lovely and was eager to provide any recommendations he could for the surrounding area! He even provided us with fresh towels at no cost and managed to sort the last parking spot for us! Which helped make our stay even more enjoyable.
The location of this hostel is second to none, nearly everything within Newquay is in walking distance, (less than 10min to the beach, with bars, restaurants and supermarkets all around that area), however the hostel itself is in quite a peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle despite being a 10 min walk from it all!
The rooms are very clean and well equipped, the decor in ours was slightly dated but lovely nonetheless, and the overall vibe of the hostel itself is really cool! (we stayed in a twin room with an en-suite bathroom).
The free tea, coffee, cold water, and small breakfast items available in the morning was also a lovely unexpected extra!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be staying again if we happen to be in Newquay!
A huge thank you...
Read moreLee is a fantastic host with a great hostel! Thoroughly recommend if you are in Newquay for surfing or taking some time to visit Cornwall! If you’re here for surfing, I recommend downloading the Beryl app and cycling to the beach as this will save you time!
Lee is incredibly helpful and friendly, rooms were in great conditions with comfortable beds and all amenities such as shower, basin, toilet etc were kept clean!
A breakfast of toast and cereal is on offer which was a nice touch! There is a fridge if you want to buy your own food locally.
Nearby there are restaurants, Supermarkets, (Aldi and Asda) and national rail / bus stops, all within a ten minute walk. This is of great convenience.
There is also a communal area which is great if you are visiting as a large group or want to have a social space to chat with others as a solo traveller. This space also offers the chance to do some work during the day if required.
Overall there is a friendly, relaxed and all around nice vibe at...
