Great hotel, poor processes and no responsiveness to hotel-made mistakes in July 2023!!! I am normally a big supporter of Premier Inn hotels in England. The hotel location in Newquay is also stunning and I would normally choose the hotel again and again for a stay in Newquay - because of the great location at seafront. However, on my last stay I was very disappointed with the hotel's processes and service. Firstly, our air-conditioning in the family room was not working which, due to the inability to open the windows it meant that the temperature in the room was very hot on a sunny day. In the evening I told the reception and we agreed that we would somehow get through the night as a family (the children had to sleep, there was no time to change the room) but that a solution would be found the next day. The next morning, unfortunately, the manager in charge knew nothing about our situation discussed with the manager the night before. We were supposed to get a new hotel room in the afternoon. This, in turn, was not communicated to the manager responsible in the afternoon either, so that I had to explain our problem with the air conditioning a third time. The night in the hot room was hardly bearable for us adults and the children, but the hotel management did not seem to care, we did not get any compensation for the terrible night. Fortunately, the new room had a working air conditioning, but then regrettably no sea view as the room before. This might happen, but the second thing we faced annoyed me even more, because here the fault clearly lay with the hotel's kitchen. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in total and had already had dinner there two evenings before (always pizza). At the third dinner, after 50 minutes of waiting (30 minutes were announced), we were served a pizza about half the size of the ones we had the evenings before. Neither was the price of the pizza corrected, nor were we offered any concessions in the form of free additional food. On our own request, we could have got new drinks free of charge. But as the small pizza took over 50 minutes, the children were tired and had to go to bed, so we could not take advantage of further drinks. Read moreYet another disappointing stay at Premier Inn. The staff act like they don’t want to be there, but that’s possibly because they are understaffed. However that’s no reason for the bad attitudes. Upon arrival I questioned what food they didn’t have on the menu as I have previously experienced menu issues at another local Premier Inn. And I would have sourced an alternative. As a pescatarian I was told everything was available. Once in the restaurant I was given a menu and told to take a seat….the only empty tables were not cleared. Now sat at a table I had to ask for it to be cleaned. When it came to ordering, there was no fish available, then the young girl proceeded to tell me what they did not have off the menu. The list started to get too long so I decided against ordering including the fact they didn’t even have lemonade! Whilst waiting at the bar for a bottle of coke I witnessed one of the members of staff serving food putting her fingers in someone’s bowl of chips removing something wether that be a hair or something else she continued to take the food to the table! If I wasn’t put off beforehand I most definitely was now. Although paying for a meal deal for my 3 night stay I will not be eating anything from here if that’s the standard they are going by. Read moreI stay 2nights in this Newquay premier inn hotel but bad experience from hotel staff specially duty manager, BEFORE CHECK IN CHECK THE ROOM AND CHECK AC WORKING OR NOT , I had same problem after check in AC not worked properly and they put the table fan before we check in , I did mention to duty manager he said it working , he went to staff room and change it light red to green I don’t know what he did first day ,, when I back to room 1 st after finished dinner still,same problem and I asked again he said checks the as not faulty , we got other room as well when we check the its was look feeling cool same temperature 19 c’ but my room look hot only may be fan worked , after I can’t do any thing and no room available for replacement , all 2 nights we sleeping hot weather and use for only 1 fan in familiy room sharing between 4 people , how did I managed, even they don’t offer second fan as well and hand up /// after I call to guest relation team and explain on check out day to guy and he called to hotel but no answer and he said send the email for checking what happen // after when I called next day lady said their was no fault in AC hotel manager wrote in email and she said we close u r case and did give any composition for service ,, that mean customer was lying and ask for...
