We had such a lovely time at the cottage. Julie and John have decorated it so beautifully and they are such considerate hosts. Some special treats for the dog and the humans on arrival! Pickering has really come on. Loads of lovely independent shops and so many great cafés that I need to go back again and continue my research! Julie and John give you loads of information about local amenities and also point you in the right direction of things that you might not know or think about. There’s a great Wellness Centre to the right of the cottage and two take away establishments to the left!! What more could you ask?!? Just back form a wonderful Christmas week at Bluebird cottage. Testament to everything being on hand is that we we were able to cook a perfect Christmas supper after a long walk. Appreciated that the place is dog friendly and was toasty and warm. House retains heat really well and can be topped up with log burner in kitchen (supply of logs for 2 nights was included and all prepped and ready to light). We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay in this beautiful cottage. There was everything you need to make our little holiday very comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Pickering itself and the wider area. Would recommend the Indian restaurant a few doors down and The Black Swan Inn for locally brewed ales.
