What a shame. This place used to be really good but I am guessing it must now be under new ownership and they forgot to get someone in the kitchen who can cook or knows how to prepare food. It is definitely not fitting of an 'Italian' label. I can't imagine how anyone who has even been to Italy could serve a rocket and parmesan salad with chunks of Parmesan and no balsamic evident in the taste, just olive oil. The pizza was ok at best. The risotto was sickly with chunks of chewy ham. This was so disappointing as a meal out, I had been expecting a treat, and for £50 for 2 people, I could have made much better at home. It is very rare I leave food but this food didn't really warrant eating and the image shows what was left when we left.

Whilst filming in the area I have visited Figaro's twice. The first time I had Carbonara. The 2nd time Pepperoni Pizza. Both times the food was excellent, served promptly, and friendly staff. I highly recommend Figaro's and look forward to being able to return again in the future.

Group of four visited on the Saturday of a bank holiday weekend, all were very happy with our meals and would certainly return when in the area again, I chose the Risotto Frutti di Mar and enjoyed immensely my partner chose the Lazagne.

On a holiday to Pickering we stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant. We booked a table for 5pm and on arriving we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our seats and on sitting a bottle of water was placed on the table. Choosing the delicious food was difficult as it all sounded beautiful. We don't usually have starters when we eat out but this time we both did For our first visit there I had the Salmon Carpaccio and my husband had the garlic mushrooms. Oh my goodness. It was perfection on a plate! So fresh, tasty and the smells of the food just divine. For our mains I had Pasta Arriabetta with chicken and my husband had the Risotto with smoked haddock and king prawns. The portions were a great size and the food was perfect. It was so good we booked in again for the last night of our holidays and both had something different. My starter was the Garlic bread Mariana and the hubby had garlic mushrooms again as he was raving all week about how gorgeous they were. Our mains were out of this world. I had the chicken d witch spaghetti and a the tomato sauce my husband had a steak in a red wine, cream and mushrooms sauce. He said if was the best steak he hc ever had. Cooked to perfection. Amazing flavours and excellent service. Just two beautiful meals out!! We would definitely be back and highly...

After going for a longer than expected walk on the moors, myself and my girlfriend were absolutely starving. We had noticed Figaro's when visiting Pickering earlier in our stay in Yorkshire so decided to try it. We hadn't booked but when we arrived it wasn't too busy and they found a table for us in the window.

One of the main reasons we chose Figaro's was that they advertised vegan options (I'm vegan my partner is not). We were seated and given a complimentary basket of bread, and ordered drinks to start. I asked the head waiter/manager about the vegan options but unfortunately they had run out of vegan 'cheese', but he went through some alternative options with me. I opted for a pizza without cheese; to tell the truth I'm not much of a fan of the vegan cheeses anyway.

The food was delicious, both of our pizzas and the garlic and rosemary potatoes we ordered were lovely. To top it off I was given a bowl of roasted vegetables as a complimentary side for there being no vegan cheese!

I think we were very lucky to get a table, as after about 20 minutes of being there the restaurant began to get very full, it is obviously a very popular place so I would recommend booking.

Prices were very reasonable and the service was top notch, I can see why it gets such good reviews. Highly recommend a visit if you're...

Arrived for our pre booked table in time and immediately taken to be seated, where we were shoe horned in between a 2 tables where there wasn't really enough room. A wait of 10 minutes and menus were brought to the table and asked if we wanted any drinks, which we ordered. 10 minutes later we were again asked if would like to order some drinks, we informed the waiter that we already had, so he asked what we had ordered and he would go see where they were. He promptly returned to our tabled with the drinks and took our order for starter and main courses. After a further 35 minutes wondering where our starter is, suddenly our main courses are brought to our table to which we told them we were still waiting for our starter! They returned the mains to the kitchen and had to come back to the table to ask what starter we had ordered. Eventually our starter arrived after a further 15 minutes. Main courses were brought out again once the starter was finished. The food did not deliver on expectations and was poor. We saw a few dishes returned to the kitchen and unfortunately we were not the only table with service issues. I would not return and would...
