The two ladies I was with stopped in to the Caffe Shop and one of them had a coffee and a cake. I went into town to get some Pork Sweet Chile Sausage Rolls from Russell's Cafe and Traditional Bakery (OMG good) to have inmy sack while went for a day of walking. When I returned to the Caffe Stop and stopped at the table the lady at the counter came around the corner to stare at me - presumably to catch me eating outside food. A few minutes later I went up to the counter to look at what goodies where on offer. The cakes were fairly expensive but I saw one that looked appealing. I asked the same lady what was in a cake called a Flapjack and she replied treacle (which I didn't know what that was at the time) and I asked her what else went into the cake. She said she didn't know. So I took a pass. A few minutes later she came peering around the corner again to see if we were eating the outside food, which we were not. We just got up and left. I suggest she spend a little more time learning about what she is selling and a little less time playing at Nancy Drew. I won't be going back.

Was a bit dubious trying here as I read the reviews about a grumpy lady but either she weren't there or she was having a good day as we didn't witness anything but a warm welcome and great service. Coffee fab, and breakfast not greasy and very fresh. Im fussy with sausages but these were great! Good quality and very tasty with some spice. Definitely all cooked to order. Delicious thick buttered toast of great quality. Everywhere nice and clean and the ceiling fan made a massive difference, nice and cool. Will definitely go here again. If you're looking for a hot, fresh, well cooked breakfast then look no further! Also nice runny eggs!

I had the sun dried tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini, accompanied by side salad and coleslaw... The panini was amazing, the honey mustard salad dressing was heavenly and chunky coleslaw also excellent... Oh, rather good coffee as well... I highly recommended this place and will certainly visit again... Oh, great home made cake selection as well... Yummy all round... 😃 Ha, sorry pic is after eating, just couldn't stop myself from getting stuck in... 😁

Don’t assume the opening hours mean you can get a cooked meal. We turned up at 2pm on a Sunday (closing time is apparently 3pm) to be told the kitchen shut at 2pm.

We were right on the hour and I can’t see any mention of the kitchen closing time either here or on their own website. I understand the kitchen has to close at some point, but an hour before closing seems a bit keen.

I suppose you have to be in the door at least an hour and half before closing if you want something cooked.

As it happened they missed out on 6 meals. If this was my business, I’d be pretty disappointed about the loss of income.

Additionally annoying was that we had already paid to park.

Instead we went a couple of miles down the road to Cedarbarn farm shop & cafe - free parking, great shop, PYO, and two...

Food is great but wow the lady who comes across as she owns it or is the manager is shockingly rude!

We have been in here 3 times and every time the food has been perfect but the lady who is in there is rude as hell!

It's a nice place but I think she thinks it's a 5* Michelin restaurant the way she acts and speaks to people.

We felt rushed, we felt like she stared at us constantly and gave us the overall impression that we she didn't want us there.

After speaking to people around the town it seems everyone has the same things to say her - and I say her, not the cafe.

But the food and the chef are spot on!

She just lets her own place doooooown!

Maybe she should work in the back and not in a...
