Briny View Hotel — Hotel in Great Britain

We booked a twin room and got an email to say we had been given the family room with breakfast included. We paid £145.00 for one night. On arrival he changed the family room to room 10. when we got to the room it was a double room which is charged at £60.00! We had to go back down 3 flights of stairs and tell them that we specifically asked for a twin room not a double. They then gave us back the family room called The Penthouse. On the third floor with only velux windows for air. He told us the room was very warm but no offer of a fan or anything! The room was beyond hot! There was no air and hard to breathe. |The furniture in the room did not match and very outdated. A welcome sign on the wall had been broken and taped together. Considering it was a family room there was only a travel kettle. The tv was in fact like a pc monitor and very small! |When we asked if breakfast was included, he was unsure but then said I think so!|We did not stay for breakfast, we checked out early the following morning after a terrible nights sleep with the heat. We’ve just got back from our hen do in Blackpool and 15 of us stayed here at Briny View. This is such an amazing B&B, clean rooms, great social spaces and so close to the beach front. Gerald the owner, is a great person. So accommodating and nothing was ever too much. Great bar too, we set up our karaoke machine down there and decorated it all with banners and balloons. Looked great, we had such a great evening. He even opened the bar when we got back for a night cap! Breakfast was great, we had a breakfast buffet, loads of hot and cold options, very good breakfast. What an amazing set of people. Gerald, I presume is the owner, made sure that my nephew Chris was well cared for after he stumbled across his hotel.|Having quite a few medical issues, Gerald & staff took the time to make sure he was safe at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys.|Having finally met them today face to face, we have nothing but thanks & utter respect for these people.
