Café Rendezvous — Restaurant in England

Terrible, do not bother going in this place! The man is so ignorant n lazy he doesn't deserve custom. I ordered coffee n cheese on toast, said he was too busy n can't do it. (Two friends had already ordered n paid for same order) others had ordered a sandwich to take out n paid for them. At that point we was only people in the cafe. Another man came in n he was also rude to him so the man walked out in disgust. I tried to pay but he refused to change the note I offered, told him I had no change n he said borrow it off one of them lot (pointing to my friends) a friend did pay for my coffee. There was another person in the kitchen that never came out to serve or anything. When my friends were finally given their sandwiches we got up to leave and he then slammed a plate of cheese on toast in front of me, I told him where to stick it. He had refused to make it earlier so there was no order for it plus he had thrown my note back at me. I left the food on the table. On the way out one of my friends went back n gave him a piece of her mind n told him he needs lessons in customer service. No wonder it was empty when we arrived. Most other Blackpool cafes was full at that...

We are here for a 5 day stay in Blackpool having booked a hotel near to this cafe which diddnt offer breakfast we were on the look out for a cozy cafe to feed us in the mornings.

This cafe is wonderful. The menu is very easy to read with plenty of options that are more than fairly priced.

The gentlemen running this cafe are wonderful and so are the locals that use this place also. We were given tips and tricks for our stay by the wonderful gents that run and use this place we felt so at home and welcome.

You can't fault the food here for the price. The egg yolks are deep in colour which is always a good sign for me and every breakfast I ordered was HOT!

The tea was just what I needed every morning as it was strong and piping hot!

Can't fault this cafe AT ALL.

First off the restaurant is cash only but I somehow didn’t see that online. We had to go use a cash machine just around the corner before coming back to eat. I felt the staff was a bit rude at first because when I asked how long my food would take, his response was that I just placed the order and it will take as long as it would because everything is prepared fresh. I don’t think that was an appropriate answer though he tried to retract his response by asking how long I had and I said half an hour. His response was it will be ready before then.
