Elgin Guest House — Hotel in Great Britain

A charming guest house, very close to the centre of Elgin. We were on our way to the big music festival in Elgin this past weekend when the hotel we booked, phoned to cancel less than 30 mins from our arrival. Frantically searched on line and found this gem of a place where the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Fortunately for us a room had become available last minute so our weekend was saved. Comfortable, clean and cosy rooms. No breakfast offered anymore but there are local cafes in the town centre a few minutes away as well as a Tesco with a cafe. This was one of the pleasantest stays I have had on my travels. The owner must have taken it over fairly recently and has obviously put a lot of effort making it a pleasure to stay there.||Our room was spacious and has a double bed and two singles. We used the singles, which were firm and comfortable. Unusually, I slept right through the night. The en suite shower room was a tight fit but that is being remedied.||Breakfast was excellent. Very cosy and comfortable place to stay! We checked out today after 4 nights sadly we didn't get a chance to meet the owners but every day we went out the refreshments had been topped up! It's very spacious rooms as we had a toddler it was a bit difficult being on the top floor but we managed! ||Sadly the website states free breakfast but isn't offered anymore but thankfully we had family to go to!
