We enjoyed our holiday with Alfa although the journey down took over 9 hours and the return journey only slightly less. The hotel was good although there were a few minor issues. We paid extra for a room with a view which we thought would be on the opposite side to the road. The room itself was great, with a lovely view of the Bay from the bay-window, but also overlooked the road so there was quite a bit of traffic noise, especially first thing in the morning.Luckily we got used to it. The food was mostly good, although there were a few dishes that didn't seem as described on the menu. Our lovely waitress, Shannon, was efficient and friendly, we certainly missed her on her day off. Entertainment was a bit hit-and-miss after a good start on Sunday night. This was followed by 2 consecutive nights of little or no entertainment and 3 nights with singers who couldn't match the first night singer. Lack of air-con made the entertainment room very hot. Fans only cooled those who were in front of them. The hotel was generally clean and reasonably well-furnished, although some chairs are starting to look a bit shabby. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. What put a bit of a downer on our break was the fact that Alfa only delivered us to the resort, then we had no coach or driver for 2 days until a local coach and driver arrived to fulfil our excursions. We then had a different driver for the journey to the Interchange. He didn't speak until we arrived at our first stop, despite the fact that we were an hour late setting off.Not the same as our experience on our last...

We came and stayed just wanting a cheap clean room . Basic and stuck in the 50s was an understatment . The floor boards didnt feel secure and safe with lots of stairwells and corridors . The life dropped twice with us in it half a level and i feared for my life. A worker said oh i thought they fixed that !. We looked a 2 rooms the second worse than the first with tiny space and a wall to overlook and a tiny shower room. Furniture old and tired. The sheets clean was the only positive i can say. The bed was against a wall that omitted a loud hum all night so we couldnt sleep. If the hum hadnt kept us awake the creaky springs in the uncomfortable bed did. Old falling light fittings , one socket just didnt even work. Awful coffee and bathroom toiletries. I have nothing good to say. My husband found dirty clothes from a previous occupant till in the wardrobe. Breakfast dry hard bacon although they did poach me an egg. A fly in the orangejuice .... beautiful. This place needs condeming. Although cheap to stay adding £5 a night to park made it more expensive than a better hotel. Total waste of money and wish i could get a refund for my awful stay. Location 10 mins from beach was only other positive. Dont stay here . Clearly thoses writing good reviews must have really low standards this isnt even basic . If it wasnt the fact we were there for a funeral i would have made a fuss but felt too emotional to argue after we moved rooms . Do...

Not 100% happy with this Hotel (for my own reasons) and it could definately do with a good clean. The Hallways when walking up the stairs and accross landings etc are Filthy.

The hotel itself is Extremely Dated and old fashioned inside & the decor is not to my taste at all.

The rooms themselves (in my opinion & my partners too) are Pokey, Small & Very Claustrophobic Feeling.

I would NOT recommend this Hotel at all!!! Not to anyone!!!

If you are used to space at home.....I wouldn't stay here. I will list a few reasons why....If however.....anyone disagrees with my review or has had a better experience here.....please do let me know.

Ok.....Here Goes......The Furniture in the Rooms is old & cheap looking. What little space there was in the Rooms, (In my opinion) it made it feel "Cuttered" and very "Thrown together". None of it Matching may i add & the TV'S were very little.

The bed wasnt comfortable either & was very low to the floor, squeaky & didnt feel very stable. This was in our upgraded room by the way...as the first one we booked was ridiculously tiny, with a bed, furniture & NO floor space at all to move or get round in. Advertised online with an "On Suite" Bathroom......which was Tiny! Without a window in, making it seem smaller as it was dinjey. It had a toilet which was very Low to the Floor, a sink & Shower Cubilcle in.....that your hamster couldnt shower in......it...

Fri. 16/8/24 We were served by Chole at the beginning of the week whilst on holiday & then by Nicola & both of them were outstanding g I wish them all the best. My breakfast was very nice & my fried egg wasn't even frizled on the bottom & my fried toast was not at all soggy but nice & crisp & the rest of the items on my plate 🍽️ were spot on too. All the sweets were very nice BUT my minestrone soup could have had more of a tomato 🍅 taste from it, but it was nice g thick & hot 🔥 too. One of my highlights was that my mains were all served up on a hot 🔥 plate & not onto a cold plate that can happen in some eateries. I was very surprised with the chicken 🐥 curry - I thought 🤔 I was in a top class Indian restaurant 'cos it tasted brilliant 👍 😁

The location is good (about 10 minute walk down to the sea front), avoid the lifts though, we ended up in the basement 3 times and then on another occasion the lift broke down and we were stuck in there for about 20 minutes before a kind lady heard us banging on the inside of the lift to get out! 😳 . The lift alarm doesn't sound in the reception so nobody will know you're stuck in there! Apart from that (!) the rooms were nice. Slow service for tea and coffee in the restaurant though, most nights we gave up waiting and went to get our own. What you would expect from a 3 star but take the stairs (the restaurant is downstairs on lower ground floor) with about 10 steps down so if you're not very mobile, I wouldn't recommend it.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a mystery trip. Hotel is close to the beach and bus stop. Some of the hotel has been upgraded room 16 is nice and newly done out. Unfortunately, we were in room 134, which is in the part that has not been upgraded. Our heating in room 134 was not working and we had a little oil heater for our stay. The staff were really nice and friendly which made up for the poor quality of our room. Room was clean and tidy. Evening entertainment was good and bar was reasonably priced. Food at restaurant which was in with our trip was nice.
