Tuesday 27th December 2022 I visited this fantastic real ale pub in Leeds quite a different atmosphere to most pubs served on my visit a delicious assortment of hand pumped ales and had nice staff on also played a great rock music background music Sunday 9th June 2024 Today, we again came to this fantastic 2 floored ale house near Leeds train station 8 hand pumped ales on mostly Osset brewey beers 2 from other breweries and 4 real ciders on hand pump are so well kept by the great bar staff. Good background music adds to the pleasent, easy-going atmosphere on this pub There is a great outdoor drinking area at the front of this pub also Thursday 28th August 2024 Nothing structurally or with the local following has changed to my last visits in this great pub The only difference is that there are 6 great real ciders on offer, mostly from lilleys brewery. Nice place but it seems covid has taken its toll on the bar staff, is as if they had forgotten how to serve, stood 3 ppl deep for about 5 mins which is standard and then it took 20 mins to be served, numerous staff ignoring myself and other people next to me and serving people who had just turned up at the opposite end of the bar. Finally got served and managed to get a table so used app for next round, they didn't check the app orders and after waiting 45 mins a friend took my phone with the order to the bar to see if they had received the order only to be told "we don't check that anymore, you're better off ordering at the bar" Poor show really. Having said that the ale was fresh and a decent pint. Worth a visit for the location and I imagine the service will get better over time once back into the wing of things but wasn't very pleased on...

Have been here a couple of times now and enjoyed both visits. There's a great selection of beers, particularly the real ales, and food options too. On our last visit I was disappointed that the pies had stopped serving at 7pm so it was a limited menu (better read the small print on the pie menu next time 😭). The food was good though (I had the chicken strips). It's been very quiet (during the week) when I've visited so I'm not sure what the place is like when it gets busy but service was good and plenty of...
