The "Stay longer spend Less" option when booking, does not indicate that it is a non-refundable booking! Whereas the "non-refundable advance" option is obviously non-refundable. Even with a easyHotel membership login, I was unable to find my reservation after booking although easyHotel had charged my credit card immediatly. When I tried to call I easyHOTEL Paddington I could not get anyone. When I did they insisted I chose the non-refundable option. I am positive I did not! My credit card has reversed the charges, but easyHotel lost a customer. Too bad as I had hope to use them throughout my travel. Use Premier Inn instead. They have customer service and clear booking options. EDIT: despite response from easyHotel here, II maintain that it is not clearly stated when selecting a room booking or at check out w the "Stay longer" selection. There is nothing indicating "non-refundable" when selecting "Stay Longer, spend less" room. the 1st indication that it could not be refunded was in the email after booking and there was no indication on my easyhotel account that there was even a reservation, just a charge on my credit card. It's easy, to regain trust by taking accountability for your misleading booking options and fix your web interface. My CC company was able to establish it as not clear on easyHotel web and quickly refunded the charge. Posted same review elsewhere in hopes EasyHotel corrects website and others don't book a non-refundable room.

Have rated this a 2 SOLELY because it is cheap. Easy Hotel Paddington is by no means worthy of a second star, but can be almost justified by its price of £50 per night, especially given that the location is so good. Pros: - cheap; - friendly staff; - location is, admittedly, fantastic; - shampoo/soap smells lovely. Cons: - no hot water on one of our days; - no drinking water at all in hotel (they try to charge you £1.50 for a bottle); - rock hard bed and pillows and extremely thin duvet (not ideal given the temperature in the room); - they've seemingly rationed toilet roll; - noisy due to renovations; - smelly trash bags all over (see attached photo); - corridors extremely shabby/ratty; - very cheekily charged £5 for bag storage, but no partial refund offered (yet!) in spite of all the aforementioned; - only one hook for towels and only one hangar for clothes/coats, etc.; - tiny room and even tinier box-sized bathroom; - room doesn't feel overly clean and the bathroom feels somewhat dirty (visible dirt on toilet flush and in plug holes, between door frame, etc.). I would encourage anybody to try EXTREMELY hard to find a property elsewhere if staying in the vicinity but, if need be, this will probably do. Don't come here expecting hot water or soft bedding or drinking water, though. Given all of this, I will be pursuing at least a partial refund for my stay.

Where do I start. One word to describe this hotel: Abysmal. I would give zero stars I would. A picture paints a thousand words, so please do check out the pictures I uploaded and see for yourself. What annoyed us the most was paying extra for a room with a 'window'. I mean yes, it technically was a window, but a frosted window that you couldn't see out of, and even if you could, the 'view' was something out of a dungeon horror movie (see pics): Our room with a 'window' was in the basement, and our 'window' was a basement cellar full of debris. I mean seriously EasyHotel, you are taking the absolute p*ss charging extra for that, you should be embarrassed/ashamed to treat customers in this way. The room itself was dark and dingy. There is no kettle. No drinking water. No bedside lights. The spot lights on the ceiling didn't work, the bathroom door handle was hanging off the door, the radiator thermostat was broken, and the finish of paint on the walls was terrible. To be charging nearly £90 for this is a joke. I will never ever stay in an Easyhotel ever again. Avoid this hotel like the plague, it is awful. Even for one night it is simply not worth it. Total dump and a rip off at that.

I recently stayed here for two nights. The room was small but nice for the price, and was generally clean on arrival although the shower did have some marks and signs of wear. The location was great (about a 5 minute or less to paddington station) and staff were friendly and helpful.

My primary issue with this hotel was that I didn’t have hot water to shower either morning of my stay. I spoke with staff on the first day, who looked into the issue and told me it would be fine for the next day, but I still didn’t have hot water. The hotel has hot water- I showered quickly the first evening I arrived, but had to take rushed, cold showers on both of the other days, which was unpleasant and relatively upsetting in January. I asked if there was someone I could speak to about the issue when I checked out, and I was given an email. I haven’t received a reply or resolution yet.

Other than that, there weren’t any instructions on how to operate the heater, so I was freezing my first night since I came back to the hotel late and couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. While that was my error, I wish a small card was included as it would have made the night much more pleasant.

Obviously this hotel is a budget option, but I could’ve paid far less for a hostel and been more comfortable than I was here.

Edit: I did get a response from their customer service, who were very apologetic, offered me a partial refund, and said that they would investigate the issue so that it wouldn’t impact future guests. While it did take a little bit of time for someone to get back to me, they were prompt in issuing the refund, and I had a good experience with their customer...

I Stayed here because of it's proximity to Paddington station and it's price, £50 for one night in London is a bargain! The man at reception was very friendly, and asked me if i will need to store my bag when i check out the following day. I booked a standard room with window, so imagine my surprise when i was told by reception that my room was in LG09 in the Basement. I asked if i would have a window and the receptionist said yes. When i entered the room i was shocked to discovered a space smaller than the average garden shed! My "window" was nothing more than a glass pane looking out into........a storeroom! With an intensely bright light that the flimsy blind could in no way block out. I left the room in the afternoon to go and visit some friends and i thought they would turn off the light later on as i wouldn't be back to the hotel until gone midnight. Alas no, the light was still burning bright when i returned. I asked at reception if they could turn it off, and they said they would in 10 minutes, and 10 minutes later the light was indeed turned off. My "bathroom" was nothing more than a shower with a toilet glued in the corner and a sink stuffed in between. The Shower leaked all over my bedroom floor so i had to use my spare towel to mop it up. I paid for 24 hours television use but the remote control didn't work, nor did the other two replacements i got from reception didn't work either so i just gave up. When i checked out the next morning i opted to use the Baggage storage facility as it only cost £2. Very easy as i left from Heathrow later that night.

All in all very good value for money, i would recommend but not for more...

I expected very little, and somehow got even less. Normally I'm an "As long as it's clean, even a basic hotel room is fine", but the room wasn't clean and it was easily the worst place we've ever stayed

We literally got a small double bed, and the smallest "bathroom" you've ever seen. And that's literally it - not even so much as a tiny TV, clothes rail, or a shelf in the room to put something down on. I think a basic small TV is really the absolute minimum additional furniture that can be expected.

The room was dirty, the bathroom was even dirtier, we were given 2 pathetic pillows which were so thin that together they barely counted as 1. When asking for more we were given just 1 more the same, and ended up just buying some more pillows

There's almost no sound insulation between the rooms, so you can hear far too much of what's going on in the rooms next door or above. The window (which costs extra!) barely opens, the air conditioning/fan built into the wall didn't work at all. And the whole place, although cheaper than others, was still ridiculously priced for what you get.

The staff were pleasant, and the one thing this place has got going for it is a decent location near Paddington, but other than that it's by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and easily the worst value, even for London. I'd avoid this place like the plague (and considering how dirty it was, I could almost mean that literally)

If I could give 0 stars I would, this place is...
