We went as a group of eight people to the establishment. When we sat down, we informed the gentleman who served us that we wanted to split the bill. He seemed upset by the request and said he could only divide the bill into two. We explained that we were three groups (as we were going to pay with cards from different countries, not cash). He then told us we would need to pay at the till, and we agreed. He wrote down the order in his notebook, and I took the responsibility of explaining which group ordered each meal. However, instead of keeping the orders separate on paper or adding three different orders in his system, he put everything into one single order. When we went to pay, we were treated poorly. He yelled at us and at the employee he called to assist him. He said, "This is why I donāt want to split the bill, because my system is very complicated" (even though we had told him we would pay separately). He also said, "This is not common in the UK" (I have lived in the UK for almost 10 years and have never had an issue splitting the bill). In the end, the food wasnāt good either ā it was oily and tasteless. Also, the menu said the fish came with chips and mushy peas, but he didnāt bring the mushy peas. Sat inside and was not greeted, so we went over to the counter to order. We asked if the price difference (points to menu above head) between small/medium/large was for the fish or the chips. We were told that the difference is inā¼ļøBOTH fish AND chips.

After we ate and was paying, the total bill quoted was Ā£28+, which to us was ???? When we calculated from the above menu, it only came up to Ā£17.4 š LOL that was when we were told there was another menu meant for dine-in with different charges. And yet, we were NOT āļø shown the menu at any point of time before/during ordering. It was also now told to us that chips and drinks were charged SEPARATELY 𤔠from the fish.
Only after much debate did they agree to charge us for takeaway price. Even then, we were charged EXTRA for the fish hahha go at your own risk š if u notice, the medium fish takeaway charges on receipt is also NOT corresponding to the one stated on 'takeaway' menu above our head
