Fantastic little nature reserve located on the Greenwich Peninsula, not far from the yacht club and the O2. Nature and educational activities available on a regular basis. An outdoor learning area is currently being built. The ecology park is home to lots of wildlife including birds and insects. A wooden boardwalk takes you through the park and is a peaceful way to while away some time. Highly recommended.

It's a nice, little forest patch with a wooden bridge pathway which is a delight 365 days of the year. You can see big and small fishes in the water patch and hear birds singing in the trees. This place is frequently visited by foxes as a lot of birds and ducks use it as a breeding patch. Btw it's a great place for a family photoshoot.

I enjoy boardwalks and didn't expect to find one here. Came to see Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark at the O2 but was very early, overcompensating for a Central line bus replacement service. Decided to walk away from the crowds at the O2 and this is what I found instead. Exploring is worthwhile.

The Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is a genuine oasis of calm within the increasingly built-up locale of North Greenwich. The main entrance to the park is by the Thames Path and leads to a number of paths through the well-managed wilds that provide a glimpse of a the pre-urbanised Thames foreshore now largely developed away.

The public pathway through the Ecology Park from the nearby children's playground to the Thames Path is lush and green through spring spring and summer while sustaining good cover in autumn and winter, insulating one from the surrounding neighbourhood noise, if only briefly.

The springtime parade as the Canadian Geese lead their goslings from the lake to the park to pick at the newly sprouting grass is also an annual highlight to watch for.

In all, the Ecology Park is a bit of a jewel in an otherwise bland post industrial area that is now at risk of over-development. Well done to the team that manage and maintain the park year-round as a natural haven for residents and...

This ecology park was created with the re- development of the Greenwich Peninsula. Over the last 10 years more and more housing development has taken place on the peninsula. Luckily you have this amazing oasis of peace in the ecology park. On entering there is an excellent information centre, staffed by volunteers. They have a very good reference library and activities for children. Broad walks take you through the park to 2 bird hides, insect hotels and a new dipping centre. They have some interesting birds visiting the lakes. There is something for adults...

This place is amazing and should be protected. The nature I have seen here is second to none, and you never feel rushed. The staff here are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, giving their time to chat and their free time to conservation efforts. They really care! There is a small bookshop here too (bring cash), and often events on for children, eg in holidays. There is an outdoor classroom which is often used for the children's events. It is free to visit but please leave a donation to their work. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Closes at...
