I recently stayed at the St Georges Hotel in Wembley and I must say, it was a disappointing experience. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that this hotel is nowhere near the level of quality that you would expect for its price and it being a â4 starâ hotel. The rooms were outdated and poorly maintained. The service was lackluster, with staff members seeming disinterested and unresponsive to guestsâ needs. Overall, my stay at St Georges Hotel was far from enjoyable, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant lodging experience.
We made a reservation for two rooms. Below are two positives and a list of negatives of our experience:
Good â Location, Clean Bathroom
Bad -Iron didnât work properly and burnt our clothes -Toilet door wasnât working and neither was the lock -Air condition broken in room 1 and not working in the 2nd room we were moved into -No bath plug and had to ask for it twice and then the receptionist was rude in saying and I quote â ok ok ok you asking too many thingsâ -Issue with devices connecting to TV in one of the rooms -WiFi password not given -Moths in the room -No soap in the toilets until 2nd day -Very dusty for asthmatic -Lights turned off automatically -Bedsheets smell wasnât pleasant -The room we were given felt like a prison and detention camp, it was dark no proper windows, air condition not working and making sounds the room felt claustrophobic -There was a massive window in room 2 but no view and was misted -Both our room cards stopped working randomly and we had to go down to reception to reset.
I donât usually leave reviews but as this is a â4 starâ hotel it certainly didnât feel or look like one and is NOT as advertised. Overall, my experience at St Georges Hotel Wembley in September 2023 was far from satisfactory. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodation if you are...
Read moreFirst the good bit, the hotel was clean, really near to Wembley Stadium where we were seeing a band.|The room we eventually got was comfortable and the bathroom was amazing very clean, albeit Iâm sure I could smell a faint cigarette smell in the air.|Despite our room being on the front of the hotel the windows drowned out most of the city noise and I slept well open the comfortable crisply clean bed. ||Breakfast was very good, we ordered continental and there was plenty and all freshly prepared, we didnât order a cooked breakfast but the other diners cooked breakfast looked amazing.||The bad bit, we had to pay a deposit of ÂŁ50 refundable after we had left in case Iâd damage, I understood that, we got offered room 210, as soon as we arrived in our room we had to go back down as the kettle was missing, we didnât want them to assume we had stolen it and keep our deposit, on returning we noticed a loud constant ticking in the room, coming in from the air con unit outside the room, we packed up and went back down because I cannot sleep in a noisy room, the receptionist was on an extremely long call and there was no one else to help.||Eventually he got to us and gave us a key to a different room, when we got to the new room we went in and came face to face with a young man who was occupying the room, and horrifying for him he was sitting naked on the end of his bed. I cannot believe the reception staff could do that to all of us.||He looked for a long time and eventually found an empty room for us, a cancellation, it was a nice room but we wasted so much of our evening trying to sort that out.||The bar was closed, it would have been nice to stop for a drink before going out or coming back but I guess, even if it was set up as a bar it was only for breakfast use in the...
Read moreLooks nice when you first arrive and in photos, although once you try use any of the facilities there is something wrong with each and every thing. Paid £60 for 1 night and had many issues.
Unhelpful receptionists, asked for a remote for the bathroom tv as we didnât even have one and he said heâd bring one up, called back 1 hour later and he said weâre fully booked we donât have a spare Iâll check in an hour⌠nothing back.
The room was damp, dusty, floors were stained, walls had marks and hand prints all over them.
Lights flickering and not operating in the room and bathroom, deluxe bed was just 2 singles pushed together, not comfortable at all.
Air conditioning wasnât working in the room and we was boiling hot throughout the evening until I had to call and get the receptionist to operate it from downstairs. Buttons on one side of the bed didnât work at all and the sockets were clearly damaged and was a pain to even charge my phone. Side lamps didnât work at all. Bathroom door didnât lock or close properly and it looked like it had been damaged beforehand, lights for the bathroom wouldnât turn off, switch not working.
Terrible parking facilities, limited space and the only available bay had swept up dirt left on it. Staff left bags piled up by the exit so I had to get them to move them out the way so I can drive along out of the premises. All these little things which shouldnât be the case let it down for me. Seemed unprofessional. And unsatisfied with the money I spent on this place.
The place looks nice itâs just once you start using it you realise whatâs wrong with the place, itâs a shame because if the facilities were fixed and the staff were properly trained, this could be a great hotel but Iâll stick to Preimer Inn as youâre guaranteed things work as...
