I went for lunch with someone I support. They had cheese burger and chips while I had bacon/cheese jacket potato with salad. The food was a good price for the area and didn't take long to come out especially as the chef had arrived not long before us. The man who served us was very nice and let us know there may be a longer wait than usual as they had just opened. My jacket potato was lovely and a very large salad. The only issue was that there was a salad sauce all over it. If I had known I would have asked to not have it so I ate hardly any of the fresh, lovely looking salad but I know for the future. The person I support really enjoyed their burger which looked lush. They did say that the chips were cold, they were hot when they came out but cooled quickly. Really dissapointed by the service from the staff, specifically the manager. They didnt give us a discount we had already paid for; they provide fake news and false advertisement. Do not attend, especially when the manager is on the bar, disgraceful would not listen to reason, which is a real shame. Maybe they can reflect on their poor performance and sticky surfaces. A decent bar in Jesmond which has good prices for student discount with ID. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Fairly good service although it can be long waiting times at the bar depending on the time of day. The pub itself doesn't have the best atmosphere, the lighting isn't great and the heating isn't always on. The sinks and mirrors in the toilets need more attention from the cleaner.
