London Road Brew House — Restaurant in Southampton

Absolutely disgusting service... Booked a table for 4 for food because their website makes out they do amazing food.

Turned up to what can only be described as a night club.

Went to the bar, ordered a beer and asked the bar staff where our table was to get "f*ck knows" as the reply. I asked him to check with the manager, she came along and said it was upstairs with our order name on.

Went upstairs to find out table was filthy with no seats!!!

Looked for the buffet as advertised on the menu and found a withered old table next to the toilets (hygeinic) with barely any food on it.

Couldn't order food because it's not a restaurant and the bar staff are only trained for a club venue.

Never recommend to anyone and if you do preorder or book for food, expect to be disappointed because this is still Varsity, just with violently disgusting food.

Do what we did and find somewhere more...

Went in a Saturday night - 1st time here. The atmosphere is very nice, good music (not heavy or too strong) and you can make some requests to the DJ. There's plenty of board games (which I was not aware and was a pleasant surprise 🤩) so you can play with friends and eat at the same time. Not a big variety of drinks but definitely enough to choose from! I'm not a very big fan of alcohol, I like sweets cocktails with more juice than alcohol 😅 so everything was perfect, but I guess you can make your own request when it comes to this subject. The staff were all very polite and attentive. I believe the only downside (in my opinion) was the fact the waiter came to try and collect the plates many times, but that can also be their policy or being just following rules (I don't know). I'll definitely come back...

Faced with an interesting dilemma and chose not to lie that I was an away supporter going to the football. Plenty of opportunity for this establishment to make its policy clear in advance, when a reservation was made 2 weeks in advance
