We stayed for 5 nights in the beautiful room with a balcony. The room was large spotlessly clean with lots of storage and hanging space, loved the fact that it had a bath as well as a shower. ||The balcony was extra special, sheltered from the wind it was a real sun trap and our favourite place for an afternoon drink. ||Our room was well stocked with treats, and snacks and there was a fridge out side of the room with fresh milk and complimentary water.||Morans is in an excellent position, opposite is a little Tesco and the slip road to the beach and Literally minutes away from shops and restaurants, excellent free parking right outside the front. ||Hosts were very welcoming, loved watching the little chickens in the garden. ||We did opt for the additional cooked breakfast one morning, which was absolutely delicious and amazing value at £7.50 per person. ||Could also recommend Slice of life, a little cafe on the slip road that did excellent breakfast baps. ||We did pre book some restaurants and can highly recommend the Morans Thai restaurant, the food was delicious. ||The Pier House, also had nice food, huge portions and a lovely position where you can watch the sunset. ||Country Cousins was also a very nice family run business with lovely staff. ||Morans was perfectly positioned for walking, we did a circular 5 mile walk which started past the Pier House and another 5 mile walk along the beach to Appledore. ||Would also recommend driving to Barnstable train station and hiring Bikes, we cycled to Biddeford on the Tarka trail, stopping at Instow for a drink. ||All in all we had a lovely holiday and we would definitely return to Morans if travelling to...
Read moreWe had a lovely time at Moran’s B and B. It is a great place to stay and we wanted to give it 5 stars but feel like we must be completely honest. Firstly, my partner and I wanted to say how great Moran’s is! It has all the small touches that makes somewhere great - the selection of little treats, the complimentary toiletries… even the flannels were a welcome addition! John greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. It was definitely worth the money. Breakfast was an option but we chose to get other bites to eat from the various establishments around us. There is a parking space too.||||We can’t give it five stars because of two fundamental things; the WiFi and the windows. Our WiFi was working on and off throughout the trip and it was really sporadic. We appreciate this may not have been Moran’s issue but we stayed for three days and it did not get better throughout that time. The second was our windows - they were impossible to shut completely because they were slightly broken. We didn’t mind massively because it was summer but unfortunately the wind meant it was loud and we would like to have shut them. ||||All in all though it was a lovely place to stay and we would definitely return. We...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at Moran's B&B over 4 nights at the start of July and it was brilliant - comfortable and in a perfect location, too. Jacqueline and Jonathan were both fantastic hosts and the room was possibly one of the best we've stayed in for a B&B. Elegantly decorated, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed and with a lovely balcony for enjoying the evenings.||||The thing that stood out for me though were the little touches that really made a difference. Things like atmosphere of the downstairs lounge, a communal fridge for your cold items and top quality linen & towels in the room. It's the stuff like that which can really elevate an experience. Would happily visit again,...
