Econo Lodge West - Coors Blvd — Hotel in Albuquerque

I'm a couples stay. We stayed about 2 weeks. It doesn't but does surprise me how clean this room is. Very clean mirrors tv doesn't have dust on it, so that impresses me. The pool and hot tub has been open last couple of days which is pretty nice, though I did have to wait a couple days when I came and It was an understandable reason for why I wasn't open. The room service people are some what nice but there attitude could be a little better there is a cleaning lady I do like but I don't know her name, shes fast and does an excellent job. There are little minor stuff that was already here when we walked in but noticed after we got comfy cause like I said they are minor stuff no worries. There is a dent by the lock from the lock. There's a minor small hole below on the wall. Once of the screws were missing to a handle on the side table. There's a crack in the 🚿 shower and another on the wall. The sink and the 👑 king size bed is very excellent cleaned. Pillows fluffed the way you like it. For got to mention the pool is really warm. There is a patch of small rocks at the bottom of the pool. I don't like how the room service people walk right in on you and not even give you a couple seconds to even get dressed to answer the door. 3 times they didn't even knock. I do understand they have a lot of rooms to get done but give the customers stay respect. You want to impress your customers so they can come back not push them off just so they can get there job ✔ done and the air gets super freezing for people who like cold air when it's on but when you turn on heat it does take min to heat up also the 🚿 shower curtain doesnt stay closed all the way sometimes either sides but sometimes one side and for me that was the 2nd big annoying thing. Over all I do love the comfy bed and I do love how they have there hote. Is designed and set up and I love how they keep. Another thing is I don't think they have cameras but they should get it on both sides for all the cars since this side of town has bad guys breaking into 🚗 cars all the time. but they say police go around the area in this hotel but not once did I even see one close to here. Over all stay it was decent. One last thing Idk what this is but I think this is mold and that's why my boyfriend has been since all week and hasn't went to work. (Look at the pictures) . when I went to check out we gave the employee Anthony the guy in the beginning the $100 deposit and he marked it down as $50. Cause my state ID says Ohio. So that's what the "other employees wrote down!! I am pisses what kind of people take money from ducking poor people. I will never come back unless I have to. the $100 was stable to the paper and the lady hands me $50 as swears up and down Anthony wrote $50. I am so fed up with people ripping us off of money. I'm giving Econo Lodge West- Coors Blvd 4 stars because it DID meet my expectations - the bar was set very low. This area is the, ehem... Meth-ee area of Albuquerque. For real tho, where is the NOT a Meth-ee area of Albuquerque?

Once you understand "where" your at, one should throw out any expectations of "motel class".

Upon arriving I saw security doing patrols. I talked to 'ol boy for a bit. He was very nice gentleman with good smelling cologne. #facts

The check-in was quick & friendly. The room was clean. There were not repainted areas on the walls from where the old TV & mirror used to be. No big deal. Again, check your area and lower your expectations. It's not like you'll be paying top dollar for a room here.

The toilet did have very little water pressure = double flush. Again, no big deal. All I wanted was a clean comfortable bed. That's what I got. I slept VERY well.

The water pressure in the shower was decent. I will have to say there was a very funky smell coming from the sink drain when I ran the water to brush my teeth. I almost puked = deduct a star.

The sink water is also very cloudy, I don't suggest drinking it.

They don't provide breakfast and with all the sketchballs around in the neighborhood I don't blame them - any scrub could just walk off the street and eat.

What WAS strange was hearing a loud intercom from the next shopping center over, with a lady telling people they are trespassing. This was at 11pm.

I asked the security dude what that was about. Apparently, the dentist office doesn't play around. There's a dispensary next to the office that attracts "the element".

Well, if you got this far then you'll have an idea of what to expect. Therefore, given that Econo Lodge West Coors Blvd is located in a 2 star area (at best), and I didn't find heroin needles or bugs under my bed, I'm satisfied.

This hotel has several issues. When we got there service was ok. After that horrible, the only decent person was the maintenanork, the ce man. He came to fix the sink that was not draining, that was discusting. Every night we came back our key would not work the first night I went back down and the front end lady said oh let me guess your having trouble with your key to. Well when I went back up guess what that one didnt work either, so I called down to let them know and she said oh would you like to come get another one? well no, I let her know to bring a key up to me. The next night the same the key didnt work. No I didnt have by my phone or anything it was in my bag in a pocket by itself. When I check out I let the girl in the front know, she didnt care and gave me her managers number. I then get a call two days later asking who I booked thru. They said I didnt get charged so I looked at my account and saw charges plus an extra $14.95 I called back she said oh yea I just charged you. I let her know she over charged me, she said no and kept arguing that I just needed to pay for the room I used, I agreed but stated what was the extra charge for? Well she refused to srnd me my receipt for the charges which is against the law. She said I had to go in to get them I live 6 hours away she said she had no way to varify it was me. Funny because I booked on line w my e mail as well as she had my number. she called to say there was a mistake when they didnt charge me at check out. Well when I called corporate the lady sent me my reciepts and she did over charge me and then put a credit. The girl should of just told me she made a mistake then there would be no issues. Then corporate does not care as well as I called and nothing done about all this. So stay away from Choice Hotels. They have poor guest relation. The one star I had to give goes to the...
