This location opening was super convenient for me. I live close and work in Santa Fe so this is an easy stop before the drive to work that I make often. This morning I got my drink and sandwich and when I was handed the drink I noticed there was a lot of liquid on the outside of the cup but I donāt really like to complain and she handed me napkins so I didnāt think it was a big deal. I get on the highway and go to take a drink and the coffee starts spraying out all over me and my car while Iām driving (I mean everywhere, itās on my pants, shirt and seat, steering wheel, center console, EVERYWHERE). I put the drink in my cup holder as quick as I can and I realize thereās holes in the cup. Thereās two little holes and about a 1 inch slit and the slit was covered with the sticker for my order which is why it didnāt all spill out sooner. Iām obviously upset but still trying not to be rude so I call the store to let them know and a guy answers. He didnāt sound surprised that it happened, nor did he sound remorseful. He actually sounded like I was inconveniencing him. He kept saying āok, ok, okā as Iām telling him and then he goes well you can come replace it or go to another location and replace it but I canāt do anything else. I understand if thereās policies in place that prevent a refund at his level but at least say sorry or pretend to care. I now have to sit at work covered in coffee for the next 10 hours and when I get off of work I have to find a way to get the coffee off of every surface of my car. I was obviously upset with the holes in the cup and the fact that they were covered by a sticker but the response I received when I told them what happened is what really set me off because while I can understand that mistakes happen and maybe they didnāt see the holes, they could at least apologize or act like they care. The male employee taking my order at the drive thru insisted that in order to get a courtesy water I needed to purchase something. Seriously?. I just wanted a water thatās it.
