We had an amazing stay here recently! We stayed a few days in a Jucuzzi King room! The room was clean and well stocked with towels & soaps, there were extra blankets as well. The room had a pretty good view of the mountains & ocean as well. The bed was very large and comfortable. The room included a large TV that you can use for normal TV or ask for a smart TV remote. The TV was a bit slow to load things but worked fine! We used it to watch Hulu. The Jucuzzi tub opens up on the bathroom side or the bedroom side which was interesting. Down side about the bathroom, there's less privacy, there's a glass shower door (fogged not completely clear) and a shower curtain separating it from the bedroom rather than an actual wall, so make sure you're comfortable with whoever you're staying with. I feel that a dark or patterned shower curtain would give it more of a private feeling. Down side to the room is we couldn't figure out how to use the over head light, or it didn't work. Other than that it was great!
As far as food/breakfast... It was fairly enjoyable and we had breakfast there almost every day. It's not hot breakfast, it's not a breakfast buffet. There was hot coffee (which was good), hot chocolate, hot cider, and several kinds of tea. They also had a juice machine with a few kinds of juice. There were muffins & cinnamon rolls. Bagles, bread, cinnomon raisin bread & English muffins. There were several kinds of cereal & oatmeal. Milk is supplied, but there were no milk alternatives set out for breakfast. There were also boiled eggs, and several flavors of yogurt, as well as bananas. There were also Eggos/toaster waffles. They were in with the bread, we felt that this was a bit odd as they're supposed to be frozen and should have at least been in the fridge. Over all though, there was a good amount of breakfast foods! They also have cookies available for guests each afternoon.
We also used the Inn's laundry matt & our clothes came out nice and clean with no problems!
As far as staff, they were really nice! We seemed to get a strange look when first coming in to the Inn but we did look a bit rough from our long journey. Once we told them we had a reservation they didn't seem as confused and were happy to help. They said hi or asked how we were doing when we walked by the desk. They told us we could eat our lunch (pizza) in the breakfast dining room, and asked if we needed plates, which was great because the room we got didn't have a dining table or anywhere to eat. They were really kind and helpful, they made us feel welcome!
Over all we loved our stay, the Inn was warm and comfortable. It was really clean & beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to stay here next...
Read moreThe people are rude including the manager at least to me they where the only people who where nice where the housekeeper and the lady with the Long Red hair, even the fat girl was rude I have it on video. Upon my arrival from a 6hr flight to Washington and hr drive from Seattle all I wanted was a shower and rest and the gentleman at the desk was unnecessarily rude going back and forth because I was having a financial situation because I didn't realize they just held my payment and didn't process it there was a situation. I said I'll just pay a night and he replied with if there are rooms left and I'm like there better be because I Have a reservation through booking. The next morning was more hell from the manager and staff. The manager pretty much accused me of being a theif because she "has been ripped off before." I replied not by me. Anyways I was up there for turnaround and my cards where not working. So she ushered me out of my room from the Marina Inn after placing the locking mechanism back in the door, they locked me out of my room because she said she didn't know what was going to happen. Moved me to the captains cabins which I wouldn't wish on any woman for an extended stay they just have showers and 15mins of hot water, they make sure to make it known your not welcome to breakfast or any other amenities unless you pay extra they give you the papers. She gave me hell when my mother tried to pay for my room for me and my mother said she was rude also she the manager spoke to her like she was an illiterate. They refuse to pick up daily trash. They don't have black out curtains for those who work nights. 15mins of hot running water. The rooms are smaller than an rv. They told me about the refunds I was getting and only gave me 1 which was the 100.00 deposit. The room was $44, +100.00 deposit. A night and still...
Read moreRANT to Kathy, the manager at the Marina Inn in Anacortes. I am a 70 year old woman. I contacted the Marina Inn and made a reservation and requested early check-in, 2:30 as opposed to 4:00 pm, prior to a medical procedure. I asked for a room on the 1st floor. The staff was very helpful regarding this request. They told me to call the day of my arrival to confirm the early check-in. I called from the the ferry to confirm. Kathy, the manager, answered the phone. She was so rude I just hung up. She called me back and said I could check in at 2:30. When I arrived, the firsts words out of her mouth were how irritated she was with me. She then launched into a tirade about using their medical discount, for requesting a room preference and for an early check-in. Services they have always offered in the past. When I told her we could talk about it later, as I had to get to the hospital, she said I could take my business elsewhere. She denied me room and board and told me to leave. As I was leaving, she was shouting at me that I was DNR (do not rent?), and that neither myself nor my family were welcome there. I went to my appointment, and afterwords, with my eyes dilated, I had to find another place to stay.
I implore you to please boycott this establishment. The staff is fabulous and I apologize if this negatively impacts them.
I ended up staying at the Salish Inn. The rooms are spotless and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this establishment. After staying at the two star Marina Inn, I feel like I’m staying at a...
