My husband called in an order for shredded beef enchiladas and a chicken quesadilla w/ extra pico de gallo, and went to pick it up. The enchiladas had been made w/ ground beef instead of shredded & the quesadilla didn’t have any pico do gallo in the container. So, we thought we’d just just call & have them remake my order & pick up the pico de gallo. Things happen. It could have been entered wrong or there was miscommunication. No big deal right?
A young man answered and my husband explained that our order was made incorrectly. He asked my husband to hold on while he checked the order and talked to the chef. He came back after a few min & told my husband that the order said ground beef & that it was repeated back to him, but it was not. He told us again that we ordered ground beef & my husband explained that we never order ground beef. (I don’t like ground beef in enchiladas & I was w/ my husband at the time he placed the order.) He goes to talk to someone again. At this point, we are a little taken aback that we are having to argue & “prove” that we ordered shredded beef. Someone comes on the phone again & asks if they can help us. My husband told him that someone was just helping us & reexplained what happened. After this, there was a lot of hesitation in talking on their part, but finally, they offer to remake our order. When my husband asks if there will be a charge, there was more hesitation & then they hung up on us. Of course, this upset me that they very intentionally hung up on us, so down we drove to the restaurant w/ the food cause we wanted our money back. Did they really not think that anything was going to come out of hanging up on us?
We get there, wait in line, & when we get to the front, the cashier says “Can I help you?” & then his face instantly dropped when he realized who we were. Yeah, we’re the customers you hung up on. My husband said “We just want a refund.” The cashier said that he needed to get someone who could process the refund for us. Again, no big deal. We thought we could just get our money & go.
An older guy came back (I’m assuming he was the owner or manager) & asked why we wanted a refund. Again, my husband explained what happened and the man had mentioned that they offered to remake the order. Then we explained that we were hung up on and didn’t appreciate how we were treated on the phone, so we just want a refund at this point. Unfortunately, the line behind us started to grow, so people had to witness the next events. The man had a smug look on his face the entire time like he wanted to laugh while we were talking. He IMMEDIATELY got an attitude once we were done and threw his hands up and said “That’s fine!,” began to get money out of the register, and yelled at us in front of all of his customers. “STAY AWAY FROM US!”
I was SHOCKED. Stay away because we wanted a refund? WOW. This infuriated me and I raised my voice back at him asking “Why are we being blamed? All we wanted was our order fixed!” and telling him how unprofessional it was for his employee to hang up on us and for him to stand by that was very telling. Then what he said back was so arrogant. “DO YOU SEE ALL THE PEOPLE IN LINE BEHIND YOU!?” He was basically implying that he didn’t need our business anyway. I said “Yeah I see them and I’m glad they get to see this!”
I was surprised that he said that in front of them. I would be careful of how you treat people because not only did you show US your true colors (which my husband tried to tell me all along), but you definitely just showed your entire restaurant how rude and ill-mannered you are. It’s a small town. People talk. I’m sure after we left that he lied about us to his customers in order to make himself look good.
Needless to say, we won’t be back and I hope you choose not to support this restaurant as well. OR if they get your order wrong, know that they’ll just blame you and argue with you instead of doing what ANY and every other respectable restaurant would do and say “Oh, I’m sorry that happened, there must have been a mistake! Let me fix...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten here before with no issues. Last night was way different. Started off with 3 street tacos. Smh first bite 😤 LONG BLACK HAIR. Vomiting by my partner began. Moving on to our "taco salad". There was hardly any lettuce in one salad and to much lettuce in another. One salad bowl was over fried and the other was a wet soggy mess. There were no beans, miniscule amount of cheeses and barley there tomatoes. What was in overabundance was the onions which were cut in huge and small uneven knife cuts that left this diner disgusted. The salsa was a nightmare flavor of enchilada sauce and onions with a little heat mixed in. The churros were huge clumpy mass of donut like bread with not much cinnamon and no sugar. The whipped cream was half melted by the time it was served. I called and spoke with the manager who assured me a full $64 refund would be given out today. When my partner arrive to pick it up manager Paola was gone and the little server gave my partner $45 and said "don't shoot the messenger". I called back 30 min later and was told to call back tomorrow. I ABSOLUTELY 💯 %DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS OVER PRICED PLACE !!. OH did I mention my partner and I suffered Montezuma s revenge all night long???? SHAME SHAME ON YOU!!!! And you still...
Read moreI am writing this hoping maybe someone in the restaurant reads it. This used to be my favorite Mexican food in the area. I have been here no less than 25-30 times. However, I'm not sure if it has changed ownership as there are faces I have never seen the last few times I've been there. But bottom line is, I'm not sure I will ever go back again after my last three visits. I originally liked it because they had a different flavor than your typical Mexican restuarant. The food was excellent. That was then. I've been there a few times in the last year and have been disappointed everytime. The lastvsyraw for me was when the "special sauce" on the Camerones la Diabla tasted like straight up ketchup. Wasn't spicy, shrimp was way overcooked and only like 5 shrimp (small) on the plate. They are now way overpriced for the quality of...
