The first night after finishing work in Shelton Washington. We are in Anacortes for two nights at the Salish Inn. We got a great deal on the room but now know why. 🤮 Raquel’s getting her hair done tomorrow and then we’re going to the Seattle Boat Show Saturday and Sunday then heading off on a 3 month adventure. We’ll let you know where we’re going Monday night when we get to the airport😜 Hint. It is somewhere warm where Carlos can use his Spanish. We have never been there. Can’t wait to get some Vitamin D and Sea. #quityourjobandliveonaboat #ourjourneyisourdestination #idoit #drdibbleslife #makeitadibble #adventuretime #foryoupage #fyp #vitamind #vitaminsea

Deceptive Advertising. We booked online through their website. We looked through all the room photos and decided on the San Juan Deluxe Suite. When we checked into our room, it was NOTHING like the photo! We went back to the front desk and explained that we wanted the room that was shown in the room slideshow. The front desk clerk said "oh, those photos are for all the rooms". I explained that they are not, and that different rooms show different photos. She said that if we wanted the room in the photo, it would cost a lot more. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that isn't possible. I asked for a refund and she said "sorry, we have a 72 hour cancellation policy so I can't give you your money back" Unfortunately, the front desk staff and the manager could care less that you are unhappy with their false advertising. There are many other lodging choices in Anacortes that would be happy to have you stay. Do not stay at this place that couldn't care less, once you've booked and paid.

This is an adorable little boutique style hotel. The room was extremely clean. The kitchenette (with included kettle) is a great touch. Residential size fridge with 2 burner stove and dishwasher. There is a keurig in the room. Shower pressure is nice. The hot tub was such a nice amenity, actually hot with bubbles. Roku TV, good size. Full size mirror. I could imagine myself staying long-term here. 15-20 minute walk (few minute drive) to major locations in Anacortes. Brand new AC units. Dedicated workspace. Outlets EVERYWHERE!! A PLETHORA of outlets!! I would like to thank a specific employee, Ellie, for going above and beyond with customer service. She was so helpful, friendly, and had some great local tips. She was the only employee at the time, and every time we came to the front desk I watched her stop the task she was working on to help us. If she applied to my company, I would absolutely hire her.

If I could give this inn zero stars I would. I stayed here in July 2022 on a last minute one night getaway. The way I was treated bothered me so much, to this day, I decided that I should finally warn others. It is also helpful to note that I grew up with family in the hotel business and I have stayed in many hotels. I have never been treated this way EVER.

I showed up and the room looked lovely. No complaints there. The TV wasn't working and a wonderful woman from the front desk did her best to try to fix it. We then realized the internet was also not working, and I was coming from Canada with no phone service, so the wifi was a necessity for my husband and I to make plans for his birthday weekend, since it was last minute.

Front desk came to my room and saw the cable was not working. It was clear that there was an issue. The front desk told us we were not the only ones having issues. I was told the owner was coming to reset the this system. Since it was taking time, we decided to pop out and find a place to eat, expecting to come back later to internet and cable. When we arrived home after dinner, the reception was closed. Since we still had no cable or internet, I decided to call the after hours contact on the card we were given.

When I called that number, a woman answered. I later learned she was the owner. I was basically told that I'm the only one complaining and there is no issue. It seemed that my complaint was a nuisance to her. I stated that we were here from Canada with no phone service and that we were trying to have a nice birthday weekend away, so I would love to have the services I paid for. The woman abruptly told me that she did not care why I was there and proceeded to tell me she could come and give us our money back so we can go find a hotel elsewhere. I tried to explain that this was impossible, due to the late hour and the lack of resources (internet) to find an appropriate hotel booking. We declined the offer to leave. The call quickly escalated to her yelling and telling me that she was coming in 5 minutes and that she was making us leave. We went back and forth as she told me that I was being kicked out and to get my stuff together. I told her that I paid for the room and I was not leaving. After a bit, another woman suddenly appeared on the phone and seemed apologetic. She asked that we take care of this in the morning. I told that woman (I presume the daughter) that the way I was treated was unacceptable.

In the morning I went to reception. No owner. No knowledge/note of any of this at the front desk. Nothing. No apology from them. I even checked for my bill in the coming week to see if they took anything off for the inconveniences. Nothing. This woman had basically treated her paying customer like garbage and with such disrespect, I can't even believe she is still in business. When I mentioned my interaction to the employees at the front desk, I learned this was the owner. There was absolutely no surprise in the employee responses to my interaction. I have since read other reviews of people talking about how poorly they were treated here. I believe them! It's really too bad because it is a nice little place. I will NEVER stay here again and tell everyone I know...

We took a weekend vacation and chose this Salish inn in Anacortes. The location of course is great, there are a lot of things to do and it's very peaceful. But we were somewhat disappointed with this hotel. Its only a year old and even on check in the reservation guy had absolutely no personality whatsoever. I'm not sure how this happened we were on the third floor in a room called (Fidalgo) which somehow cost us $119 a night. My daughter was in the second floor at a deluxe suite which was the same as ours basically but much larger same king-size bed but she only paid $89 a night- go figure. I don't know where their prices come from. The first night in the morning we put the sign out for the girl to clean the room, and this is the first time in thirty years our maid never came in and cleaned the room! it's never happened before, someone actually did not clean the room. But when we went downstairs around 10 in the morning the two girls were at the front desk sitting around talking and they were there for hours because when we got back later they were still there talking. The advertised about having a cafeteria breakfast area which was closed the entire time we were there so no food either but they have a little coffee machine. They have DirecTV so needless to say we had several problems with the TV the guy actually had to come up into a room the first night and reset the device. The hotel for the most part is very clean. Its new so you would expect new sinks, mirrors, showers it's definitely an updated hotel with heavy doors each door to your room is pretty heavy to open. After that first night they really didn't have any staff around the building just the two cleaning girls that we saw and they milled around the front desk area and one was on the floors with the cleaning cart but no other actual employees that I saw. Probably the next time we're up in this area we won't stay here but it was not all bad. Oh and the last thing I'm going to add. I was actually very disappointed with the hot tub! It's a small hot tub I did not mind that what I did mind is that it's outdoors. there's a little 5 ft wall on both sides but when you walk outside of the gym to get to the hot tub it's cold and then you're going to go into the hot tub which is hot and then get out of the hot tub and you're going to be freezing again. that should have been an enclosed space. Update: After reading the response from Salish inn employees let me clarify a few items. The picture of the bed with my suitcase is NOT to show any uncleanliness since that was my last morning before I left, (packing and all) it was solely to show the size of the room. Secondly, I do not lie on reviews, your front desk girl & the cleaning girl were talking for hours at the front desk area Saturday morning and more. Say what you like...lastly, she did not clean the room or put out new towels etc. Reading your response to a customers review just solidifies our reasons for not going back to your hotel. Also I never said our stay was so terrible we were not happy with several aspects of your hotel you should use this criticism to make some...

So I am not a review writing type of person but I just had to on this hotel. I Absolutely would not return nor would I recommend. My wife was unwell the day before check. With full Covid symptoms, I called to ask the manager if she would kindly cancel my reservation. The response I got was ”yes, no problem but you will Not be refunded”. We decided to go to the hotel anyways to just Relax and stay in our room. I am elite member with Expedia and 99% of the time if there is any upgrade rooms available they upgrade me. When I asked if there was any upgradeable rooms they said “yes, but you will have to pay”. I explained that my status with Expedia states that their hotels on the site give certain perks to the customers. She said “no, sorry we can’t do that”. When we arrived to the hotel at 7:30pm there was not even one car in the parking lot. So instead of having an empty room with the view of the water we got to see the empty parking lot all evening. When we arrived in our room I will say it was clean but very very small. We had called down to get the wifi password and the reception ask if our TV was working. We said no and she said OK we’re going to send someone up. My wife and I are just sitting on our bed and abruptly with no knock a lady and her two children use the master key And come in the room. She was shocked to see us and turned around and left saying “sorry”. we were confused because she was a lot alone. We shortly realize that this lady was part of maintenance. Though very nice, still made absolutely no sense to me that someone could just walk into your room with out even a knock. At that point I was in my boxers getting ready to change into my pyjamas. So not very comfortable situation for sure. The beds were very uncomfortable both my wife and I woke up with a sore backs. At 8 am my wife was looking for coffee and wife and I weren’t sure about if the water from the sink was usable for the coffee machine, so she went down stairs looking for water. No one at from reception other then a post it note saying if you need assistance call This number. No water bottles in the room, can’t buy a bottle cause no one was around. All i am saying is if you are looking to stay in anacortes I would look into other alternatives...
