If you’re thinking about coming here, DO IT! I don’t think I’ve been to a place before where everything I ordered was phenomenal.
First for the food: We ordered the Creme Brûlée French Toast, the Steak and Eggs, the Banana Bread French Toast, the Red Velvet Waffle, their Coffee, and their Drip Coffee (which they no longer have on the menu, but still make), and one of their Sorbet Mimosas. All of it was excellent, the steak was wonderfully cooked and seasoned, and the potatoes were delicious. The french toasts were perfectly cooked and their whip cream is made from scratch. The plating was a perfect portion and done aesthetically as well, and their fruit on the plates was fresh and sweet. The coffee was delicious and strong, especially the drip coffee. I don’t normally like or drink coffee but I would happily down 5 of those. The mimosa was tasty and the slow melting sorbet was an interesting and delicious touch.
Second, the service: Fast and friendly service. The food is made from scratch so expect to wait a little longer than us impatient Americans usually put up with. Also I love that once they give you your food, they leave you alone for the most part. I love good service as much as the next person, but when your server comes by every two seconds and you can’t even take a bite in between or talk...it’s annoying. They do check on you, but they time it well. You have to ask for your check, and they’re just overall very friendly.
Atmosphere: Well lit, lots of windows, with a quaint style. It seems to mostly be regulars (which I see why after trying the food) and the customers greet you with a good morning when you walk in. There’s an amiable, quiet feel and over all I will definitely be coming...
Read moreThis restaurant is nestled in a busy shopping center, but don't let that deter you from entering and enjoying the delicious food and friendly staff. I recently stopped by to grab lunch with a dear friend. Upon arriving we where met with a smile. The menu was supper simple nothing complicated or extraordinary, but when our food arrived my friend and I where blown away by the presentation. Instantly you are transported into a fine dinning experience.
To drink I ordered the iced coffee, I was not disappointed, but I was not impressed either. My friend however ordered the watermelon drink and her eyes lite up with delight. The real test was the food, As soon as I took the first bite I knew the word "extraordinary" would not even begin to describe the texture and flavors I was experiencing. Two tables from us was an elderly couple, we found out that they where celebrating their wedding anniversary. The restaurant made them a special lobster dish and you could hear the wife saying "this song is for you" she was talking about the music the restaurant was playing. It was music that sounded to be from 1950s, very pleasing and only enhanced the tranquility experienced hidden away in 4 walls from the busy city street adjacent to the restaurant. I recommend this place to those looking for a memorable experience with someone life changing. A wife, daughter & Dad date, good friendships or even business or work colleagues. As a first date? Only if you plan on a second date or else the experience of this place would be lost in vague gestures and you'll be missing out on the special something this restaurant has....
Read moreAfter trying this place two times, I can honestly give it a five star rating. The first time I came, I ordered steak and eggs, crab meat eggs benedict, regular French toast, and some mimosas (Peach and original). I noticed when the steak came out that it wasn't medium rare like I ordered but more on the medium well side. I told the server and they immediately made me a completely new plate which surprised me because I had expected them to give me a new steak but keep my old potatoes and eggs. What great service and great food! While I was eating, one of the owners/cooks came to our table and asked if it was cooked to my liking. Again, awesome customer service.
The crab meat eggs benedict had a LOT of crab in it which I loved... so much crab that it overpowered any other flavor. If they added a bit more hollandaise sauce, it would have been perfect. The French toast was delicious as well.
My second visit which was today, we ordered the veggie omelette with added spam and the chef mix. The chef mix came with stuffed french toast, which has cream cheese and jam inside. The omelette was delicious! The stuffed french toast was okay. I prefer the regular one.
Overall, their food is delicious and I can tell they take pride in it's quality. Their mimosas are pretty tasty. Their prices are VERY reasonable. Last but not least, their EXCELLENT customer service is what keeps people coming back! Highly...
